Its crazy to see a thread that many years old still get this much attention, take notice hot toys, when you make a classic this good it sets a standard......never mind they won't notice LOL, however its cool to see none the less, cool review Shells, fantastic CUSTOM P., and sick photo Sean:clap

This figure almost got me to stop collecting back in the day, I said to myself it can't get better than this.....I'm sure it can now if the stars a line, but that's not an easy thing to happen, sure if Hot Toys wanted to they could easily top this, however the want does not seem to be there in that reguard, Just be glad that those who have it, as many do not:lecture

Love that pic Sean!!! Excellent lighting and effects on Arnie :clap

And your right Pete, this thing is a masterpiece and a time when HT was truly at the top of their game :lecture

Nice video Shells and custom P. :rock

thank you guys :) hope that future terminator really interested somebody and you don't say it only because it's polite.

For me it is interesting seeing some different stuff and you know I love you attention to detail and "crazy" theories of movies ;)

Yeah good points. I doubt HT will release another T1 fig of any description.
I was looking over the first few pages of this thread when the figure was first shown, pretty much to universal acclaim on the Freaks. Oh they were happy days.

Yeah the golden period of Hot Toys which was roughly from 2009 to 2013 when they were releasing all their Terminator figures. I agree with you as well in that i think thats all she wrote on getting any more Terminator figures though. If they are having difficulty even releasing the Genisys endo thats pretty much a sign of how far down the pecking order the Terminator franchise is for Hot Toys. But a T800 endo from The Terminator. That'll always be the dream won't it..

Great reviews, guys!! :clap

I've seen them several times each.

2016-17 was my "catch up on acquiring the Terminator figures" years.

I'm certain that Hot Toys won't revisit this license for several years, if at all, so I went on a tear acquiring and in a couple of cases, reacquiring the figures in both lines (T1 and T2). All I have pending is a pre-order for the CGL John Connor figure and I'll be done.

It actually feels good knowing that I don't have to keep chasing that next release in the line, for a change.

Mr. EcKo, how do you achieve the technoir landscape effect? a poster or a picture on a big monitor?

* * *

soooo i decided that i can't live without another classic pose of technoir representation, so i gathered together another figure. though i promised myself i wouldn't do anymore of them.
goes good with another walking terminator.
recreated the pose only from memory, without checking the movie, because it should have wounds anyway, and i'll put them later, when i learn how to make blood.

from making different poses and keeping figures in them instead of reposing into other ones i really understood the work Cameron and Schwarzenegger had done about terminator movement. every shot of a terminator can go straight to a poster. such a difference with T3, where a terminator looked brain-damaged throughout the whole movie.

and yes i know i should use another hand for the UZI. i just have only one left for that purpose and don't want to use it yet.
and yeeeeah those palm ball joints look ridiculous.
