Finally bothered to actually take a look at all this boot hubbub.

I can see why you guys are disgruntled. They made the things out of plastic it looks like....

They should make some thick cloth ones or maybe rubber. This is a Spidey figure, he should be able to move his ankles as he is an acrobat.

I was not interested at all when I saw this figure announced. But everytime I look at him, I can't help but think he'll look amazing with the rest of the HT Avengers....

For the price you cant go wrong! Plus, you NEED to have Spider-Man with the rest of the Marvel stuff!

Great looking figure for sure. If HT made the boots like Black Widows that would be awesome. She has great ankle articulation.

The difference between the three movie suits seems unintentional. For each installment the movie production has to practically start from scratch, they would never use the same exact costume from film to film. Beyond that, there are inconsistencies within each film since there are many different costumes made and cgi doubles. Hot Toys has bigger details to worry about on this figure ie. webbing, boots.. Oh, and the figure I want to see second is definitely Venom, regardless of how people feel about Topher Grace. I'd rather have Spidey's arch-nemisis than another version of Spidey. I have a thing about buying only one version of each character;)

Agreed. A masked Venom would be a no brainer and would look awesome next to the blue/red Spidey on display

Of course they are unintentional, unless they are making a "new" suit within the confines of the film itself, they are trying to make it seem like it's the same suit spanning through the films.

That is incorrect. From the first film to the second film there were new suits created specifically because in the first film they weren't sure it'd be a blockbuster and after it was the costume designers wanted to refine the look. From the second to third though they were aware another was coming and the third suits was simply modified and "cleaned" up which is why the inconsistencies are less between those two films.

No they don't. If they were marketing this as just "film Spider-Man" where like Hasbro used to do it was an all encompassing figure that wasn't necessarily meant to be from one particular film but just a film representation fine. BUT this is being marketed and sold as Spider-Man 3, so I want the exact figure from that film from patterning on the red to patterning on the blue to the webline angles, I want it all especially considering HT's track record. Just like if they did Spider-Man 1 I expect it to be exactly like that. Whether or not fans can tell the difference or whether or not they'll forgive inconsistencies is another matter completely but if they are sticking this:

Authentic and detailed likeness of Spider-Man in the Spider-Man 3 movie

in the taglines to sell it then damnit they better deliver.

Two things, one Venom isn't Spidey's arch-nemesis. He is a niche character created to tie up the change from The Secret Wars that took off with fanboys. Realistically he has been portrayed as an anti-hero since the 90s more than anything but he isn't really even considering a classic villain. He is cool looking and there are some great reads with Venom and storyarcs as well but even as a fan of Venom I wouldn't call him an arch-nemesis or wanted him including in the third.

Second, I kind of don't want a Venom released by HT. Medicom attempted it and it looks almost silly. While Spidey's symbiote look was intended to look like cloth so it was easier to replicate. Venom on the other hand didn't, he was glossy and shiny, he looked like an alien suit which was good but it wasn't copied well by any of the companies giving product really. I'm sure HT will attempt it but my hopes aren't that high. I'd actually prefer a Sandman over a Venom.

If Hot Toys produces something even close to Kotobukiya's movie Venom then it will be well worth buying. Medicom's quasi-crappy Venom is the whole reason I want HT to take a stab at it. As for everything else... kinda feel like you're just looking to argue:(

Koto's Venom isn't bad:

Although I think it'll be difficult to replicate with HT and fabrics...they could do it by going all "rubber" but their track record isn't great with it and I think a lot of fans would be disappointed by that.

As for "everything else" I'm simply participating in an ongoing discussion, there isn't a need to "argue" since realistically whatever is posted here doesn't change what individuals think or feel anyway.

:lol this particular one was Roxanne Pallet, I screwed up the editing of the details. I never used the Camilla Belle because it was difficult to get it to fit in the parameters and once I saw it, it didn't look right although some of you may have caught it momentarily. I already have Roxanne's replacement lined up so who know if she'll even be the lady by the time some of you read this.
