Oh riiiight..he is referring to him looking not "god like" enough...just a regular guy in a suit got me thinking he was saying there is nothing unique about the look facially.

The size of the figure looks fine to me but, again i've yet to watch this film.

I don't really agree with the "godlike" comment myself, as Thor does not look anything like a god in the film. However, numerous people did complain that the height of the figure was an issue, being the same height as Iron Man when in the comics he stood taller.

Well, actually, that was me.
I'm not sure anyone else was complaining about the height. :lol
But if there's more fans that agree, then very cool. :hi5:

I wonder how Whedon is going to present the Avengers.

Centurion I heard that height issue before we talked about it at length that day, so don't worry you're not the only OCD Freak posting on this thread :lol

Actually I was referring to the figure itself. Like I said put the head and suit on an Ivan Drago body and that would be Thor. Using a regular true type is like using a regular guy to play the god of thunder. The facial sculpt is ok, I just think that the body could be more impressive.

Asgardians are supposed to tower over mortals in the funny books, even Tony in his suit. I understand the point being made that HT's Thor does not look godlike, just b/c I grew up w/ Thor being built like a tank. I also understand that, ok, it's the movie version. However, even compared to the movie, the HT doesn't stand up to comparison. Hell, HT's T-800 has more bulk compared to their version of Thor.

EDIT- I think Ilovetoys has modded the figure some how. sry

I might've missed it, but has it been confirmed or not whether this Thor was modified because this looks pretty good to me. I'm anxious to see more full body side by shots of the Mk VI & Thor.

Just going by opinion but I think that Thor looks like its modded. The arms and legs look thicker than the regular. I'm assuming it's on a t2 arnie body which is taller also.

Avengers is THE big movie event next year..(along with DKR)..I expect HT will do 5-6 figures from it and announce at least 2-3 well before the movie comes out.

Not going too far off topic but box office of Thor is just OK- not a huge runaway hit. It's around $150 million so far and compare it to Hangover II which will gross $118 million in just three days.
Certainly not a flop but I don't see it going much past $200 million total domestic gross. Compare that to Iron Man numbers and you'll see the difference.
Good film, hope a sequel is going to happen. Sure DVD sales should guarantee that.

Agreed. Well stated. :hi5:

Yup, it sure looks like it.

The waist is at the same height for Thor and Iron Man.
The shoulder height is where we see Thor is taller. Perhaps a different torso/arms combo was used there.

By the way, what is next to Thor's boots?

It looks like he crapped out two tampons. :horror
