I don't mind as I like the original arc reactor sphere better, but from a story line stand point I'm curious how that will work since the Mark VI and triangle reactor were Tony's latest & greatest invention. :dunno

My guess is the outside of the armor will be a circle but the element will look like a triangle.

Odd. Unless that's in the comic story arc somewhere (which it very well maybe I have no clue) it would seem a bit pointless, no?

Nice to see the IM armor color scheme red and silver and not showing any signs of gold yet, always preferred the 2 color scheme :yess:

Its not in the invincible series though they haven't talked about it. It may be to keep the classic circle outer look that he has.

Well, if you look you see gold in there as well right now its showing all three like the Mark VI just with a bit more.

Where's gold besides the face plate? I'm blind evidently :thud: :lol

Oh and here's a random funny pic I stumbled upon of the "Iron chef" :D

I think in the comics medical technology had advanced enough to remove the metal shrapnel near his heart, eliminating the necessity of having the arc reactor in his body. I guess the arc reactors were on the suits themselves and going between the triangle design and circle design was purely an aesthetic choice. I believe though, back in 2009, Tony had a circle arc reactor put back in his body because his body was too stupid to run itself without Extremis so they've been using the circle design lately.

:lol Pretty interesting thanks! :hi5:

In regards to the pic Spider-Man isn't part of the classic lineup. He shouldn't be there. If we were talking the Wolverine, Luke Cage, Ms. Marvel Avengers lineup then Spidey would be there.

Sony owns him not Marvel as far as films go.

yeah, that just sucks. Any idea how the cartoon series works though? The first season of Earth's Mightiest was already awesome, but Spidey in it would've really been beyond words.

And I already got billed for my Thor today so hopefully, it'll be on route tomm

They didn't actually have anything called an arc reactor in the comics until recently. Back in the day he just had a giant magnet built into the Iron Man chest plate. Until they finally removed the shrapnel from his chest Tony had to wear the chest plate at all time.

The arc reactor was introduced into the comics as a nod to the movie. First Tony built one for Pepper after she was caught in a bomb blast, and now he uses one in his body because it's so heavily modified and no longer capable of functioning on its own.
