Well, you can plan all you want, but the vagaries of chance are what they are. Even $100,000 may seem like a lot now, but that could change in a minute.

Right you can't plan to have a million dollars but you plan best you can thats my point. Besides really at most its a 10% NRD most places so if you can't afford that probably shouldn't be collecting this anyways.

Affordability at the moment has nothing to do with it. And 10% of a 1/2 scale Iron Man is a big chunk of change for most folks, whether or not it breaks the bank.

Seems like a silly kind of argument anyway. I just stated my reasoning on the issue. I would prefer not to put a deposit down on something if I can help it. Risk aversion is a personal disposition that we approach in different ways. If you're willing to take what I figure to be needless risks, power to you.

Of course the bigger figures the 10% is a nice chunk. Though, if you're buying that you can probably afford it either way.

Like an extra head sculpt with a battle cry/angry expression perhaps.

Apologies for contributing to an off-course tack fellas.

Anyone think another figure will get made from this film? The Asgardian characters have some great looks, but probably not big selling potential. I think JYE suggested Destroyer. I think Loki is a possibility. Maybe Odin.

I suspect this will be it, though.

As Luke314pi pointed out, several Minimates from this film have been shown, and none of them is battle damaged Thor. DST loves to do battle damaged variations of characters when it can, so I suspect we aren't going to see Thor dinged up too much.

Loki would be awesome however, IMO the simpleness of Thor leads me to believe that may be the only figure from this film. Unless it crushes at the box office.

I agree in that other figures will be dependent on how well the movie does. If Loki gets enough time behind the lens, he will probably be next (my guess at least).

my guess is that Hot Toys will devote more time to Captain America characters like Red Skull and other avengers characters than side characters in Thor...

Agreed. I do think it looks cool on a shelf when paired with a least one other from the same movie.
