When I first saw this figure I was a little unimpressed, however after seeing the figure in person on Wednesday (specially Mjolnir) and finally watching the movie yesterday: I MUST HAVE IT!

I have a Predator from the first movie, never displayed, only opened to check the contents, never removed from the tray even; I am considering trading it for a Thor and a Ghost Rider. They don't have to be brand new, just complete and in good condition. Do you guys think I am asking for too much? Please give me you opinion if this would be a fair trade so that I could post it in the commerce section.

Thank you for your input.

Luis

I haven't opened my Thor yet, but he looks amazing from what I can tell.

I need to get him open and displayed this weekend.

Some great new pics here to be sure!

I got my Thor this morning and I am taking some pics.

Pretty mental week of Hot Toys lovin actually. Got Odin Monday, Mark VI yesterday and now Thor today.

It,s almost too much to take!! :thud:

I love this figure, and I cant wait to have it in hand. However...the one thing that bothers me about Thor's movie design as a whole is the black leather pants. Don't get me wrong, I don't absolutely hate it, but being a fan of the comic book I've always loved his original look and the Modern post-civil war update. I'm thinking of buying some 1/6 chain mail leggings and a pair of hot toys assassins creed boot covers to try and make some kind of movie/modern Thor amalgamation. Does anyone have any tips for changing brown boot covers to black? Also assuming the chainmail leggings doesn't look too bad compared to his hot toys upperbody chainmail, does anyone have any suggestions as to what kind of garment to put underneath? I'm really not going for the chainmail assless chaps thor if you know what I mean lol.

Call me ambitious, but I figured it might be worth a shot. I figure if all else fails I'd only be out about 40 bucks in supplies, and I could always just put his original gear back on.

I agree Optimatron, the only thing wrong with the movie really was Thor's costume, or part of it at least. It just is a contrast to the top, doesnt mesh together at all. I was hoping for a change in the Avengers.

He doesn't have chain mail leggings in Ultimate Thor. I'm glad they went that route as the other would have looks a bit silly on screen. Kind of like spandex costumes.

Its just one of those things that works in comics but not in real life. I'd have to go through all the pages of the art book again but I don't even think they attempted it by whats in there.

They could have did a lot other than leather pants and boots. The Asgards were supposed to be an alien race in the movie. The pants and boots didnt match the armor at all plain and simple.

Chainmail would have looked silly as would spandex. What other material would have had them go with? The pants and boot setup looked freaking awesome on screen and on the figure. Didn't match it for you I think is the most correct response.

Thats awesome.

The material they used on the arms looks great but if they had used something like that for the legs it would have just looked silly. None of the designs went with something that would have pushed it to that. You have to do something that works within a real world scenario but also a place like Asgard.
