I just got him yesterday! Just a bit disappointed the box I got had a minor tear inside. I also wish the material they use for the pants was a little bit ticker....but overall a good figure!

I like his look in the Movie. But I rarely leave my figure as is. I just can't help twiking them. And I have plans for my Thor, in fact already have a whole new body(T800) and chainmail outfit on it just waiting for his head, chest armor and boots. I'll keep his body with the pants and chainmail shirt on if I ever feel the need to return him to his original look. Shooting for this sort of look.

Thats the look I'm going for as well. What are you thinking of using for the knee high boots? I am also looking into chainmail leggings but I wish I could find chainmail pants as a whole.

I like the movie look, but if this is my chance to customize something into a 1/6 Modern Thor....I'm going for it.

I'm sort of shooting for that look which for now doesn't include the boots. Like all of my bashes, this will have a starting point and evolve as new idea pop in my head. So far I have the chainmail leggings with HT Perseus shorts underneath and a chainmail shirt on a T800 body. I have the longer foot pegs. Going to see how he looks once I put Thor's arm bands, boots and chest armor on. Then I'll think of other things to do. Still working on the helmet. Trying to decide if I'm going to try and put the white wings from the ignite helmet on his helmet or find a different one. Little by little. Can't wait to see other Freak's mods.

Will look into it Elvis, thanks. What did you paint them with? I've painted rubber before but it tends to crack and peel.

Before painting I used a little bit of acetone on it, it removes that sort of coating.
Once done the rubber takes the paints pretty well and doesn't crack.

Actually those boots works like wonder on thor, they are covering the knees and gives him a good look.
I also changed the pants with some better quality leather pants. I hated the material thye used, looks like a windbreaker.

I have been so hectic with work lately it's been great fun finally being able to have a beer with the little lady and chill with my Hot Toys of the first weekend in amy where I did no work what so ever!

This figure is what I call 'a grower'. I was like, yup he's exactly what I was expecting but then after a while you thinks he totally rockin!
These were taken as I opened him.

And by sheer accident!

Those are exactly the boot covers I've been thinking of using. My question for you is...what kind of paint did you use, and what method did you use to paint them?

Also anyone know where to buy awesome chainmail looking garments for 1/6 figures? I've found a pair but I'm not yet sold on them...no pun intended lol.
