Wasn't sure where to post this

Just arrived today and I thinks it's gonna look great with my HT Thor when it arrives

Replica mjolnir! It was only £13.99, think some US sites have it for around $17

I have to say, I'm really impressed with the quality for the price, it's made with plastic, lightweight and it is hollow, but it's sturdy

The details are very nice and it has a really nice paint job for the metal effect. You can see most of this the pics

There's a marvel trademark bit on it I need to rub off some how

Otherwise, pick up one now! If you can!

The Adult Thor Helmet looks pretty good as well, thinking of also getting that.

That was today Robbie? Funny, it seems the turnaround on this figure has been awfully slow!... Ghost Rider was slow to ship to 3rd party retailers as well....

I'm going to go out on a limb here, but I wonder if that's SS's plan now that they're the official NA distributor? They're forced to stick with the MSRP while other retailers can go 10% below that, so now they've shaved off shipping to make their overall prices competitive with the third parties. They then take their sweet time shipping to those retailers meaning all customers who don't order through SS will get their items a month after SSC customers.... Just a theory.

Flos, your theory is really not out of the ordinary, business is business afterall and survival amongst your competitors is crucial.

If anything, I always thought how everything worked was odd to say the least....with SS sending those companies those items.

Believe me, I really don't understand the industry and i'm hoping to learn it more because my goal will always remain to receive a product as fast as possible w/o having to go the expensive asian route.

The question I have is this.......is there a risk of getting a product first when it comes to quality control.

I was too, based on the price

But if you look at the pics closely you cam see how it's very thin, theres no detail on the other side of the wings, just on the outside

I know its only a Halloween costume and very cheap, but I'm not sure I'd display it

I already lift my sons mini hammer and say "For Odin, For Asgard" and already taught him how to do so himself, he's almost 3

Look who joined my collection. To think that I originally was going to pass on him, Mjolnir alone makes all of this worth it. Sorry for the cell phone pics, specially the second one that I forgot to focus.

I bought that for my son too!.... Though he makes me use the hammer while he uses this big Nerf sword my brother gave him. Even at three years old he kicks my ass.

Despite all the good gasps of happiness about this figure- I still say HT dropped the ball on a production job that looks rushed to me. The armor just looks cheap in places (grade of plastic?) and tailoring is off. The seam hair area bothers me like it wasn't tweaked out in production. Overall, just looking at it, it looks 80-90% THERE but not quite what HT is capable of...GR looks much more refined and typical of HT. In the effort to get this out within weeks of the movie I think HT rushed and took shortcuts on this figure.
I'm not saying it is a waste- it is still FAR better than most 1/6 out there- and the hammer and helmet look great, it just isn't a total win for me.
