Late to the game on the Thor figure, which I was on the fence about, but after watching the movie, made me realize what an awesome character he is; now I'm interested in a figure. Can you remove the sleeves from the costume or do you need to get new arms? Also wondering if I should wait for the Avengers Thor version and see how that is...? Opinions?

I'm sorry if this has been posted, but I don't have the time to go back and read everything I missed! Thanks!!!

Anyone has a torn pants on both size? Is that normal? at first I thought it's a cracked leather. Thanks guys. ;)

This figure rocks!!

If you are talking about the two silvercoloured cutlike things, then yes, mine has it too.

EDIT:

You can see them in the pics on the first page of this thread as well.

Here are some pics of my mod Thor.
I´ve done some work with the arms, legs and helmet, and i´m really enjoying it.
I´ve seen lots of pretty works in here too, wich encouraged me to customize my HT Thor.

Inspired by another member here, I installed a wire in my Thor's cape to give it a little extra flair. I didn't want it blowing sideways or anything, I just wanted a little wind in his sails. :)

Also inspired by another member, I inserted a small cylinder in his back behind his tunic to give it a tighter fit.

Really liking the mods and pics are cool.

My only fear about the helmet mod is how well the wing fix on after being broken off.

Well you don't have to sand the entire nub/protrusion away but make the diameter small enough that allows it to twist a bit for the right position.

Don't worry. Super glue works just fine. (And I completely removed the post/nub on mine.)

Vacation's almost over! Just got back home and to celebrate(??) i picked up THOR! :yess:

This is how im going to display him

I found a spot on the rock that fits the helmet nicely.

I immediately did the helmet mod with no back-ups lol I didnt remove the platform..I just rounded out the pegs with a paper cutter XD
It's extremely easy! i even had a harder time making the dang cape pegs go all the way in :gah:

This is how it turned out

I'm very pleased with the Chris Hemsworth HS, and for the thousandth time, pics dont do justice!!

Here's a comparison pic with a waffle bag lol

I tried doing some very dynamic poses and I didnt have problems with the rubber chain mail since i remove the arm and shin guards whenever i pose the limbs. Much easier that way and lessens wrinkles.
I tried but failed to do the ground-pound pose cause of the tunic armor getting in the way of the thighs :monkey2

Avengers Assemble!!

Oops, still waiting for an avengers cap :monkey3

Final thoughts...if i were to nitpick on anything it would be the cape
I quite didnt like how the double layer makes the cape drape down his back, plus the cape pegs were extremely(!!) hard to plug in tight, but after that the cape never fell off.

Oh and, i kinda liked the material on the pants, it doesnt seem like it would degrade like pleather, or rip apart so easily.

Sorry for the long post haha! CHeers!

the super glue holds it better than the glue HT used...once its glued after the mod, its permanent!
