Nice shots but the figures proportions are well out of whack. I hope he gets the upgrade treatment for the HT Avengers line.

Before he was a frail man with an huge cape an now you have a frail man with a small cape ( joke )

I think you should work on enlarging his body instead of shrinking the other parts.

I dunno, maybe by pulling off the clothes and trying to put something on deltoids, biceps and legs to give a better "Sense of fullness" like in the picture below.

You can also buy a pair of ankle extension to make him taller.

I dont think the way to make him look "mighty" is to shrink the other parts.... just my opinion.

im not really aiming for a mighty look, just a screen-accurate one

im kinda scared to try stuffing the clothes up cause that might just inhibit movement much more...and about the ankle extensions, i thought HT Thor already has them by default?

Any suggestions on what body i should hunt for to add height?

Not sure about that, but aside from the cape and the helmet, i dont really think this fig's out of proportion
(people even say the cape's good enough)

It's just one of those figs that's not photogenic
i have to admit even my pics distort the looks

I have to disagree and am on the same page with Wanderer. The figure isn't photogenic and is even worse in person.

The true mark of excellence for a Hot Toys figure to me is if it period point blank has a realistic lifelike 1st impression. I've had casual guests at my house who don't give a ____ about action figures admire them and they comment that some look so real like "little human beings." This Thor release looks like a bad doll. And no matter how many times I see it displayed at a LCS or collector shows, it does not get any better.

They should and will get it right with the Avengers release.
