Got mine today. Very nice looking figure for sure. Just a few issues with mine.

The holster strap is just about to come apart, the left shoulder pad appears to be coming apart at the seam due to the hard plastic underneath and, the potential deal breaker for me, the star is attached too low and twisted. Not much but since it's a focal point it something that instantly caught my eye.

I just got mine today. Very cool looking figure, BUT, like Coco, mine has a few issues. The strap on his leg came unglued before I even touched it (kind of cheap material that is glued together instead of being stitched). I tried to put the hand gun in the holster and the little tab came out and was tough to put back in without it falling out again, since it fits so loose. Plus, the little button on his pants will not stay attached.

I guess I'm gonna have to fill out another request to SSC.

This is getting a bit ridiculous. I don't consider myself an overly picky person, but I've had to fill out replacement requests for three of the last four Hot Toys figures I've bought (Batman, Superman, and now Cap). Meh. At least I should have a chance to get a replacement on this one for sending the request in soon. SSC ran out of Batman and Superman replacements before I could get one. HT QC is getting bad.

After Batman. 89 I think i'm done with HT.

Unless Hulk is made, then he would be my last.

Once they improve their craftsmanship then they can have my mula, until then i'm going to do an Arnie Freeze and Chill.

Also, the lack of arm articulation kind of blows. He's got about the same range as DX-02, which is not a good thing. I'm glad to have a Hot Toys Cap, I think the head sculpt looks much better in person than in pics and the figure really does look great, but in other respects, this guy can't hang with many other Hot Toys figures.

I haven't had any real issues with HT since the Mark II. Cap just seems like he was put together in their getto factory.

I also thought his mid-section armor and star are too gray. Seemed like they were more on the white side in the film. Granted, they got dirty and weathered but I didn't think they started out light gray.

I'll tell you--I used to order my HT figures primarily from BBTS, but now, as with SSC's statues, I'm afraid to order from anywhere other than Sideshow since the chance is so high I'll have to return something. Bums me out. Maybe I've been unlucky, but the fact that so many others have posted their issues and that SSC has ran out of replacements before I could get mine replaced makes me think that these are pretty pervasive issues.

HT is great artistry brought down by crappy QC and manufacturing. I will also be done after 89 Batman. Already repaired two parts on my HT Cap in less than 10 hours.

I can already imagine the HT's version of Hulk w/ your set-up there Remy.:monkey1 They look awesome together! :clap

Anyhow, in the process of taking pics for the (probably pointless, since I don't think another figure will be much better) replacement request, I took some other pics:

Yeah. . .not sure where the black hair is coming from. . .

Two of what I consider to be the 3 true Marvel icons (Spidey, Hulk, and Cap):

and honorable mention for 4th most important Marvel icon:

Thx jayvee. I have no doubt HT will make a stunning movie Hulk. Until then, this will serve as a good companion for my current Avenger set up.
I'm really loving this Cap. He has been my most anticipated figure after being blown away by the movie. The more I stare at it, the cooler it seems to get. Love this figure!

Yeah, he'll be a good temporary companion there for a while. :monkey3

The details on his outfit was the key point for me in getting this fig plus hell, this is Cap we're talkin' about :lol

:exactly:

Just got my Cap today and it's awesome! The costuming on mine is just great!

I'm sorry to hear about all the problems folks have been having with there's. I haven't had any QC issues with any of my recent HT purchases and hope that I continue to knot have any.

I do agree with Coco in that the star on Cap's chest should be a bit whiter and not so much grey. Not sure if I'm going to fix that or not

The holster on mine also closes quite well. The little "button" does look like it could pop out but i see no sign of it happening, it just seems a bit fragile. Sti not a deal breaker though.

And I too got the extended ankle pegs. I had bought some just in case mine didn't one with any but I will save those for my Thor now when the pegs finally get here.

Overall, I'm really reeeeeally happy with how this came out. Definitely looks much more like Evans and not so squished/narrow in hand like some of the pics I've seen. I migh get a second shield to add some BD too but not too sure on that yet either

Got mine this morning and just spent some time with him tonight after work. Great figure overall. Did a little mod: I shortened his belt a little so it doesn't sag and noticed one of the belt loops was unstiched so I sewed it up. Couple of issues there, but great figure. And I agree, the face looks much more like Evans in hand. Shield is way too shiny though. Bidding on another shield to do a battle damage w/ dullcoat finish for display.
