2. They set up a pretty generous donation to the CR foundation.
It's definitely not material costs.

Don't know if it was mentioned but dolltv has the 1\6 scaled shield. ( the more shield shaped shield) on sale. For 20 bucks. I believe it is metal. In case you wanted to mix it up a bit. Especially the guys buying 2.
I have to admit, I'm a little bothered by the shield size. We all know it should be a bit bigger, so I won't say more than that. Hopefully they'll fix it. Surely be easier to do than a sculpt change.
Other than that, I like it. That coming from someone that's not a Captain America fan.

Cap'n America comes with 3 more hands, the shield, pistol, machine gun and much more complicated outfit but just doesn't have the light-up base, so you figure that HT is charging the $40 more Superman costs than him for that base. Yep, that's worth it

Actually, the base is not light up. They wanted to make it light up, but couldn't do it at the level of coolness they wanted. So, they didn't last I heard. It is said, the SSC description is still misprinted to say it lights up. It does not.
