Shouldn't Spidey have been naked when he ripped it off then? I thought it just sort of enveloped his existing costume in which case the neckline etc should have been the same...

I just looked at the comic book and movie scene in the bell tower when the symbiote was removed. The comic book clearly shows him with no top on after the symbiote starts to come off.

In the movie, they only show him remove the symbiote from his head and parts of his hand and arm. And it show just skin in the arm/hand scene, of course as well as his head.

I guess the rest is left up to the imagination. But I was always under the impressioon that the symbiote WAS the suit. Not that the symbiote took over the suit.

they show the red costume, without the mask, being engolfed by the symbiote. Yet later in the same trailer, the show peter ripping the symbiote off and he clearly has nothing on underneath.

Go figure!

Spiderman 3 is a terrible movie, I remember the director changed the script writer, and he and his brother made the script. About the costume, I think the symbiote just copied the classic suit, that's why when Peter take the symbiote off, you can see he is not wearing the classic suit.

Spiderman 3 was so bad that the second time I saw it at the theater I fell asleep !!!

Well, sometimes I see movies more than once to check if the movie was really that bad or it was just the first impression.... For example I like Batman Begins more now than the first time I saw it.

I actually like the way that HT made the head/neck. It actually looks better as a turtle neck than a tshirt neck.

Plus we all know how these figures are put together. I totally expected the design to look like this rather than show any neck at all. Much easier design.

The Symbiote could have detached any where on the head or neck so it's still fits with continuity.

Even in the movie we saw two different neck lines. When he wakes up for the first time in the new suit and takes the mask off the neck line is like the red suit. Just a hint of a turtle neck. Where as when he covers the suit up and for his dance number it's a low tshirt neck.

They did the same thing in the first one when he goes up against GG for the first time at the unity festival. He totally pulls a superman reveal running down the street to change. That scene also had a low tshirt neckline to better hide the suit.

Damn you spider man! well with this it looks like I'm not going to get the 89 batman. This is to awesome to pass up, especially with the sandman base.

It is kinda of annoying that the Tobey sculpt was actually a possibility afterall, i kind of feel they rushed the red/blue suit.... I still like it, but I will still have a bitterness about it since I have no interest in this version... looks great, but not worth having.

There's a possibility that they'll make a new red and blue version at a higher price with the head sculpt.

Do HT love Spiderman as much as Iron Man and Batman? If not, I don't think we'll see them remaking every prior figure from it.

lol the way I see it, this will be most likely the only chance to get the black suit spider-man, the reason I didn't get the red and blue one is because they will make another one with the spider-man 2 figures, which I will get that one, as that's my favorite red and blue suit from the movies. And for batman, hot toys will make another keaton batman with the batman returns figures so if I don't get this one, I will get that returns version. And I'm more of a spider-man kinda guy anyways lol

damn you lol I like spider-man more but nolans batman films are some of the best comic book films made, yea, I like them better than burtons. Also, I don't own any spider-man collectables yet to make any movie banners (I made that signature, check my pics thread to see it) I will when I get this though, and you better believe it will be awesome!
