Il admit, the "plain" stand is important to me but it is by no means a deal breaker. Il just try and track one down from the original release.

Oh to hell with this I will sell up my original Mark 1 to fund this new version.

It is rather awesome!

To ebay I go. though if anybody is interested, please shoot me a PM.

Is the HS what's making you make that decision. I don't have the original but, other than the HS, I think it still looks great.

Since the flame accessory does not actually light up, the only real difference from this and the original is the head sculpt and the paint. You could just buy the extra parts and upgrade

Lol....At the people who own the first version refuse to admit that this figure is an actual upgrade....Believe it or not people you have to come to reality sooner or later...The first step is to admitting..

Will be getting the new sculpt for my original, there should be loads in month or two, might even pick up the base :)

This is not nitpicking, but is a genuine concern that HT is shortchanging us customers. The dio base was supposed to come with a black stand. Essentially its to come with 2 stands instead of 1, just like the Mark VI. Of course I'm more than happy with the dio, but you're in denial and ignorant if you cannot see that HT is engaging in some unxethical business practices here, because they specifically promised us TWO not one stand.

Don't be surprised to see if your beloved figure you pre-ordered and worked hard for comes with one pair of hands instead of the promised two or three in the future. But you probably won't mind right? I'm sad for those of who you who cannot see this - I'm sure you're easy targets for those door-to-door salesman who loves gullible people. Wise up man.

When that day comes, then it would be worth discussing, but all this over a stand REALLY!!!! I could see if it didn't come with a stand at all...I think people are being a little too dramatic.:slap

HT would love customers like you. Like one of the people on Facebook said," Slightly different and missing item are two different things. Why don't you just state this way, some items "might be missing". Your slightly different and missing one item is just like cheating. Imagine that you buy a TV that stated "slightly different", maybe missing a TV screen. Your slightly different should be referred to the sculptures, painting, shapes. Please check the Oxford dictionary before you write the item description. Remember, consumer protection laws is still exist, you may end up receiving lawyer letters.".

But I'm sure you wouldn't mind missing a TV screen right? Or the fact that your TV will not come with a power outlet jack? Then when you file complaint to your salesman, he'll say, "all this over a power outlet jack?! I think you're being too dramatic :panic:" Come on man, it's not about that cheap stand; it's HT not delivering on its promises.

Get yourself a business law class my friend. It'll do you wonders.

It's not a deal breaker for me by no means.
I'm just a little worried about the dio base.
My twin brothers Classic Predator dio base is a mess.
His Predator has fallen off twice,no matter how he poses him he leans way too far forward.
The MARK I has a wide foot base and it's feet are huge too
so i don't think there'll be a problem posing him.

OK
The second base was in the description along with the dio base.
If you look at the photos though,on page one, there isn't one pictured.
Doesn't it also say prototype subject to change?

lol....Dude get a grip...The examples you gave make no sense...I get it they said one thing and did another, but it doesnt affect the figure as much as your making it out to be....As far as the buisness class I'm good....Thanks

Just like the Joker 2.0. I'm simply happy they're re-releasing these since I wasn't collecting HT when the originals were on the market. I just need to figure out how I'm going to pay for them all between these re-issues and the upcoming Avengers team!

This is hilarious. Grown men and their dolls.:wave:cuckoo::lol

The black is stand is a big deal for me. I don't like these small "diorama" bases. They cheapen the figure imo, make them look less "high end collectible". I have all my other figures displayed with the black stand. Hot Toys did not included one so now I got pay extra cash for a custom made one. Hot Toys make great figures but their business practices leave a lot to desire. This was just a stray up scam. You guys think this was just a simple mistake? A misunderstanding? They did this willingly to save a handful of dollars. I won't be surprised if they try to pull this bs with the Wolverine figure, but seeing the negative feedback on FB (100 comments about it so far) I think they know better for next time.
