I have to agree, it's a very nice Thor figure, but it does not look much like Hemsworth.

I have to say that it's better than the old one that I have, but not better enough to upgrade, especially as a new Thor movie is coming out later this year. I think they need to be spot on with the likeness to make me want to get another Thor.

Yeah, they've only been doing that since you started collecting HT.

Seriously, the bar has been raised, and also the prices.

"Ok" isn't good enough to warrant laying down $250 or something for a really good toy figure. If it's a movie collectible than that price is all right. But that means it needs to feel like a proper collectible (and not look like Nicole Kidman)

That's what's changed IMO. With Enterbay, Blitzway and Hot Toys themselves releasing some almost perfect figures, the lesser ones stand out like a spare thumb.
..just my 2 cents.

Hot Toys themselves releasing some almost perfect figures, the lesser ones stand out like a spare thumb.

That's just it though, i can't remember the last HT thread where most people were saying this is almost perfect or perfect. You look at the EB BD T800 thread or the EB Batman and nearly everyone is ****ing their pants about the figures. So it's either HT have got slack or EB etc are just better at sculpts.
