I'm debating PO'ing this one since he's my favorite Avenger. I usually don't look twice at HT anymore because I don't think they are worth the asking prices, but this one is very tempting...

Avengers Thor looks superb - as does all the others. Hot Toys have made a commendable effort with this line I think.
Only downer is the thought that Thor2 will be out with yet an even better outfit and another figure to consider! :/

Yep. If this figure is this good, Thor: TDW will be mind-bending - and I can wait.

another video of thor, not mine btw :)

Am I the only one that really does not see that much of an improvement in the THOR II Costume? The one that is the progression on from the Avengers suit, that is.

I do however, like the more Odinesque silver and gold suit that is a part of the toy range shown on earlier pages of this thread. Now that would look good from HT.

It took just about 10 months after the release of the movie to get this figure in our hands. Based on that sked, thor 2 tdw version should be ready by september 2014! plenty of time to save up for that version too!

I could fathom a Thor 2.0 making quite a bit of money if HT decided to go that route. They now have what they need for all Thor's going forward with their latest offering of the arm mesh and size of the figure.

It could happen. And I'd get it.

Here's my vid on the figure, incl. look on black widow:

With more Thor films and Avengers films, I doubt they'd make a Thor 2.0 this early, or at all. Each movie will have his costume change and we'll get figures of that, but unlike the Iron Man armors, there isn't a "Closet of Thor" that people want to put their multiple figures into. Each armor can be seen as empty or with Tony/Rhodey in them, so they serve double duty. Unless you decapitate Thor to display the suits, it wouldn't make much sense.

:impatient: No mention of this coming in the next 30 days (or any Marvel HT) in the newsletter today...

Anyone else think that this guy would have looked just fine with the chain mail sculpted directly onto the arms? I'm amazed at the range of movement he actually has but I really would love to pose him with Mjolnir held above his head like the scene in the field. Given the amount of detail in the armor already, I don't think exposed joints would have hurt too much.

man this figure looks good, if i had got a pre-order in for him i probably wouldn't be selling the rest of my Avengers, Amazing likeness
