Just watched Rik's "Fail" video, without adding fuel to the fire, I have to point out the following.

At the start of the video Clipper says the figure has a ball joint shoulder, and moves it as if it's multidirectional. The TT isn't and doesn't have a multi directional ball joint, you have to make adjustments in "linear" moves, to get certain positions. Go for an angle directly and that L shape connector (which is far too weak) will snap.

I think it's the nature of this being a Spiderman figure that people may be posing it differently, no doubt it's crazy that this isn't super articulated, but it's exactly how I broke a DX2.0 Joker arm and a DX Luke Arm (just redressing them) study the body nude and you will see what I mean. You can't go straight to an angle, you have to work with the multi jointed mechanism. Forward, then up. Not straight into 45degree.

I still agree it's **** though, but I think this maybe the problem.

Where's ur pics man? :impatient:

Can you show us the way you think is the proper way to pose the shoulders, and I don't want to see the HT's suggestions. I want to see actual in hand pics by you posing the shoulders.

Hey man, look a one of HT's newer TT bodies like the new slim, DXLuke or Joker 2.0 and you will see what I mean, and none of those bodies really warranted the type of posing that Spiderman would, mixed with the fact that the body is completely invisible under that suit.

Not saying this 100% is the reason, but it could well be the cause. You wil be shocked to see how small the piece of plastic which actually holds the arm/shoulder on actually is. And when it snaps, it's off completely. All it takes is an angled move, and it doesn't need to feel like you are forcing it. I have never broken a HT TT, not even a wrist peg until the latest Dx's shoulders. So not sure it's really just an issue with this figure but because it's Spiderman, it's a big **** up.

:dunno

Hey guys.. I'm the second lucky recipient of the osteoporosis Spiderman figure (the first being TheClipperKing).

For those who haven't seen my review, here it is below:

Great review. Easily breakable shoulders by Hot Toys :gah: Extreme disappointment. Canceled order. Hot Toys what on earth happened to you guys. Was excited for this but Im not buying a figure that will break as soon as I breath on it!

Are sure about spidey's shoulders are being like Luke's, I've had no issues posing Luke's shoulders:dunno

Rory, is this the TT?

So this is the body that's under the suit?

It doesn't look to me it would act any different to any of the other true types but then I've never stripped a figure down to the bare body and ever seen what it can and can't do :dunno

Personally though I wouldn't of thought a basic movement away from the body or a basic moving the arms up along side the body would cause any breakages, surely that kind of thing is only going to happen if you try and do some kind of 360 rotation?

As far as I know that's the TT used for Spidey. Doesn't really matter though all the TT's have the same fragile "L" joint. Which seems to have gotten even more fragile on a number of figures. I will try and post a pic in the morning to show what I mean.

Rorywan, if you got a nude TTM lying around, please do a couple pictures...I have no idea what you mean and am not even aware if how I pose my figures will lead to the breakages ric and ryno got. I haven't broken a body so far so maybe what I'm doing is fine, but a couple pics would definitely help if you have the time. Thanks in advance brother!

I think its a modified slim TTM22. The shoulders feel different... Really different now. Lol

Ive had a few TTM22 bodies and they had no restrictions articulation wise.

well ****** if it's modified there's no telling how the body is constructed unless one of us sacrifices their's for the greater good and dissect that b****. :lol

It's a crappy situation because I don't want to tear the suit apart to find out.. lol. The suit is literally sewn permanently onto the body.

However I think a TTM22 would sort of be the reason why he's so short and scrawny.. because that is how that body is.. much shorter than most.

What makes me think it's modified is that the neck is fused.. Perhaps they tried to make his shoulders look bulkier? I have NO idea.. but it literally fell apart very easily... Almost as if some part inside was glued and then separated when I moved it a certain way. The scary part is Ric and my experiences with the figure were IDENTICAL. No "pop" or crack.. followed by loose hanging arms held together by the suit, and both of our figures rattle when shaken. So just take that info however you wish. If it were me all over again, I wouldn't buy it, no way. If Sideshow said they could send me a new one or my money back.. I'd ask for my money back before they could finish their sentence.

but if rorywan's 2 are perfectly fine...UGH, not sure if I should take the risk.
