Yeah I don't get this bizarre insinuation floating around that having used rewards points on this earns one a special right to complain because it made the points a waste. Sorry ppl are upset they used points on a figure they now don't want, but how that is in some way worse than using real $$$ and not being happy with it is beyond me.

I just cancelled my preorder with BBTS after watching Ryno and Clipperking's videos. Sorry you guys both ended up with broken figures, but you've definitely informed a lot of us about the issue.

Regardless if someone can resell this thing down the road they will not recoup the Rewards Points they had been saving over the course of months, or even years.

If you can't grasp the notion that Rewards Points both cost money and are non refundable than it will be forever beyond you.

I've got mine pretty much paid off. (will lose some of that if i cancel) so i'll wait and see.

If the arms break i'll send it back for a refund.

Where to you have your's pre-ordered with. If you cancel it they should give you a full refund for what you have paid or at least what you have paid minus the NDR if their was one.

I never thought I would actually consider cancelling this. Regardless of what everyone else thought, I loved how it turned out. But this shoulder crap has really got me concerned. If there are any other reports like this, I might just have to cancel:(

After all the talks about shoulder issues, I've tried to move them on mine and boy, you get cols sweat because they are extremely tight, so now I know the issue, I won't try any extreme poses.

One thing though, I've checked the instruction sheet, and they NEVER speak about the arms or the shoulder, so to say that HT knew is just wrong. It's a QC issue for sure, but I don't think HT was aware of it. Oh, and I'm no HT fan boy.

this is like Toyfair batman again...what the living hell?! year and a half delay and this is what we get...piece of $*(@ hottoys...

Sorry but you are making no sense and seeing this thing through a pinhole. If they use reward points, say $200 worth, and then sell the thing for $200, that's BETTER than having $200 of rewards points. Cash >rewards point every time. That $200 exclusive to sideshow use can suddenly be applied to anything, other toys, food, clothing, a concert, or right back into sideshow's pocket. You didn't lose your hard earned rewards points, they've simply been reassigned.

And rewards points don't cost money, since you don't pay FOR them. The figures you buy cost money and the rewards points are a bonus. Non-refundable I get, but big deal, you turn around and sell the thing and are the better for it.

Having decided to use your points on an item does not grant you special whining privileges. In fact, it grants you less.

Yeah... Bad QC and a severe limit in poseability will convince me to skip this release too. All the *****ing over height and lenses and head sculpts wash over me like a light salty breeze, but a consistently broken joint is a tornado to run from.

Aside from Spooktacular code giveaways once a year it takes cash to purchase items which in turn give you reward points. Customers shop with Sideshow knowing they'll often pay more cash for an item over other retailers, it's the reward point system that keeps them coming back.

So pissing away a chunk of non refundable RP you've been saving for god knows how long on something that turns out to be garbage like this blows. In no way are you better for it.

I suppose you could class it as battle damage, from the deleted scene where the Lizard dislocates Spidey's shoulders

You never saw that scene?!

Peter goes all Lethal Weapon!

Sure it's upsetting, I get that, no one wants to pay for an item they don't like, whether it be with real money or rewards points, but again, they aren't "pissed away". You have an expensive item that you can sell and get real money for. If you prefer rewards points to actual dollars, that's your bizarre prerogative.

Just give mine a once over and everything seems fine. I gave the arms a move forward and backwards at the arm pit joint aswell as rotated it clockwise , raised the arm outwards to the 80 degree limit advised by timcent from HT and all is well, no sign of breakage.

I will say if you move the arm forward you feel some resistance as stated in clippers ''fail'' video, but this does not feel like the joint to me at least not on mine, this feels like resistance with the suit.

Again i don't pose my figure dynamically so as it stands i won't run the risk of breaking mine. Yes it sucks it can happen, maybe if enough of you get in touch with hot toys or even sideshow etc then maybe it will be enough to put the wheels in motion for them to sort it out i don't know.

Yeah I like very dynamic poses, so the suit limiting it is a problem for me. It bothers me quite a bit on my DX09 batman too, almost so much that I considered selling it soon after I opened it. It's good enough for me to keep, and this still may be, but limited shoulder movement is a big bummer.
