I dont think this is HT's fault. It's bad source material. This is what happens when movie execs try to get too fancy with established stuff.

This would be a great figure if it was1983.

I disagree, the movie suit is just fine, the problem is that this figure simply is not accurate. And i din't mean innaccurate like how nit picky folk are about the DX12.

The colours are wrong, the crotch area is wrong and the area over the back of the shoulders is wrong.

Saying it's the fault if the source material is lazy and just making excuses for Hot Toys. Hopefully the final product shows the changes.

We differ.. i think the suit is atrocious. You cant shine _____. And i dont think tweaking the colors can save this. Same for futzing the crotch or shoulders.

The last Spidey looked like Spiderman. People ate it up. Here, the he's too thin and the uni looks like crap. HT just gave us what was put on screen.

Guys keep cool, it's a PROTOTYPE !

Just look at the head and the hands it's clearly an early prototype; they show it only to display something, let's don't forget it will be probably be released in spring 2013 so there is no need to worry for now.

I just don't understand why the license approval take so long, why there is a problem with the headsculpt ? I mean, I can't believe Hot Toys have missed Andrew Garfield head sculpt because they do always a great job so I don't understand.....

Why the hell do we have to wait so long ? :impatient:

No funds or space for the HT rendition of ASM, so I got this instead

A base like that (of higher quality of course) would be sweet for an HT Spidey figure.

Really ugly stalk jutting out of a human body into a bulbous head. Poorly done. HT needs to get on that. Either way I'm passing though.
