Guessing about half a centimer difference, i wouldn't personally call that terrible

But still obviously, noticeably and inexcusably wrong. I notice though, you did not disagree with the other observations...your opinion?

Yes, half a cm (5mm) on the figure - if that is even correct, but the figure is 1/6 the size of real life so we are actually talking about a gap of 3cm (30mm) - all of which I personally feel is underestimating it a fair amount - would still represent a nice obvious arc of fabric which is clearly no longer present. On such a figure, with its price point, you would expect such a glaring mistake to be at least noticed. It is obviously, noticeably and inexcusably wrong. I assume/suppose that HT will correct it though.

I think HT has got themselves into a bit of a bind over this one. They teased a figure with the correct-ish costume and a scratched face, but with a lousy neck-line and neck.

They show a reveal of the new proto, with the new neck line and new neck, but revised and wrong central column, and a partial reveal of the face but not the same face as the tease because even through the fog, you can see there's no wound.

And the repro photo of the tease has an obviously photoshop'ed neck section to cove the crappy web-neck look from before.

We need to see something definitive for this figure via a proper and full reveal including the maskless face.

Lately i've been thinking 'how much does hot toys really spend checking accuracy'?

Bane has a whole bunch of things wrong with his outfit, Spidey has the arc at the bottom of the red sweep.

They seem intent on upping their prices but don't seem to up their game to match the expectations that price brings

:exactly:

There's been the teaser, the product pics that are different than the teaser, the SDCC which looks to be an old version and then the toyhunters one which looks to be the latest, it's all over the place.

Here's hoping a bunch of new pics with the headsculpt revealed

That's why I think it's best to order from BBTS...no cancelation fees. Their MSRP may be a little higher than some, but their shipping prices are one of the lowest and hence, bringing the total to roughly the same as that of other stores like AlterEgo and Cornerstore.

For e.g. DX 12 on BBTS costs $239.99 with $10+ shipping, whereas AE sells him for $233.99 +$16.99 shipping. At the end of the day, BBTS provides the better deal with no cancelation fees. Only downside is they don't have rewards points.

tdk5 I've never used BBTS, would you recommend it? how reliable are they?

They're saying over on Facebook that the ankles are NOT articulated.

Spidey. Without articulated ankles. If that aint a head-scratcher I do not know what is.

That is guranteed to change, the same thing happend with the R&B suit, non-articulated plastic boots in the pics/specs and fabric articulated boots when it released.

I prefe this spidey not to have articulated ankles since my raimi spidey suffured from both broken ankle and a broken leg.

BBTS is great. I've bought from them amny times. great CS too. one of the best around IMO

awesome! I might try them out!

there's just one more question, is BBTS's pre order anything like SS? in regards to securing an item and not worrying about it? I find that some of these places online offer pre ordering but its not promising at all! thats my only thing, which is why I mostly order direct.

Does BBTS leave the figures in the shipper and double box like AE? I may have missed the post if this was answered earlier...

^^^ Whats up with the miss matched dark red mask compared to the rest of the suit??? Photo flash or unfinshed proto??? Did they have the unmasked sculpt on display at SDCC??? Didnt see it...
