I think because its expensive and seems to be getting worse by pictures rather than better?

They're saying over on Facebook that the ankles are NOT articulated.

Spidey. Without articulated ankles. If that aint a head-scratcher I do not know what is.

It was obvious from the pics that they're not articulated and as you say, this is a problem. The Tobey Maguire spiderman was practically perfect and although in the movie this new outfit trumps the Maguire one, the same cant be said in 1/6 guise.

I wanted to get this to go with the other Spideys, but I do not really like what I am seeing. I will decide when I get a chance to see one in hand. I hope that it is as good as the Toby fogures when I do see it.

(when a figure doesn't even have the pads on his palms, it should tell you it was rushed just to show something and not close to finished)


People need to freak out in DEC. IT'S JULY! (I have absolutely no doubt this figure will blow us away, so if people want to have ulcers over it for 6 months let em. I will laugh in the meantime!)

Does BBTS leave the figures in the shipper and double box like AE? I may have missed the post if this was answered earlier...

I asked them the same question, and this was the response I received:

"When dealing with the Hot Toys line, we typically open and remove the shipper box to inspect the product packaging. _If you would like to have your figure kept in the shipper box, you will need to e-mail Customer Service when you are ready to ship your order and we will put in a special request. _In regards to the rate quote, including the shipper will not affect the price."

That's why I think it's best to order from BBTS...no cancelation fees. Their MSRP may be a little higher than some, but their shipping prices are one of the lowest and hence, bringing the total to roughly the same as that of other stores like AlterEgo and Cornerstore.

For e.g. DX 12 on BBTS costs $239.99 with $10+ shipping, whereas AE sells him for $233.99 +$16.99 shipping. At the end of the day, BBTS provides the better deal with no cancelation fees. Only downside is they don't have rewards points.

Wouldnt shipping charges just depend where you live in relation to the store your ordering from? SO for some it might be lower and for others more.

Looks like who ever put in the head sculpt at SS display also pushed in the fabric and that's why the neck looks so odd. Just add the curve below the waist line then I'm good.

Yes, it should come down to a shallow 'V' at the base of the neck, according to the official (ie heavily photshop'ed) photos.

Exactly... one thing is to show pics on the internet with the "product may vary" disclaimer, but when you show them at a show, people are going to remember how bad it looks in person, not some unknown's pics.
The reality is the proto looked terrible... in the end it might end up being a kick ass figure, but that doesn't change the fact that the one shown @ SDCC was awful...

I also wonder if you will use the spider man suit body and put the outfit on ?
