IMO, anyone that thinks the medicom is better in any way to the HT version is smoking some good stuff. :cuckoo::wave The HT suit material and overall look is almost spot on. The medicom suit looks like a $50 toy.

And the waist part is such a minor issue, but neither figure is pefect, which mean neither is right.

And more importantly, the medicom is actually $50 more than the HT.

I agree that overall the Hot Toys figure is much better. Medicom does look like it should be a lot cheaper. The Medicom suit looks pretty dreadful for a figure that price. Insane that it's actually more expensive.

But I do like the eyes on the Medicom.

And the waist. Well, just because it's minor to you doesnt mean it's minor to everyone. Being an artist, details like that stand out to me and bother me every time I look at it. Like a dead pixel right in the center of your screen. It will nag at you forever. But that's just me.

You can see in your pictures that the red part on Spider-man actually does come to a point like the Medicom, but only because of the way the whole round part on the end is darkened/dirtied up.

Just like Spiderman 3, Medicom fails once more.

Best Spiderman from Medi still remains Comic book version imo, and sometimes you can pick them up at a steal.

Well, that's why I said it was only better. But not perfect. :hi5:

gotvha...for some reason I thought you said "accurate" not better. apologies

Maybe I didn't read back enough, but from what I gathered, they're not saying that one is better than the other, just that aspects of the medi (such as the head) are done better than the HT and vise versa.

I think they are both sub par and both companies should be embarrassed at the asking prices

Embarrassed, no. Guarantee you'll see them in some collections. As long as they sell, and they profit, it's all good.

blu ray due november 9th cant wait still need to see...

at around the 38sec mark of the video posted a few pages back arrhhh that wrist injury must have sucked!

Also before releasing this guy HOT TOYS Seriously raise the eyes they do not sink into the mask like that they stick out and if you were trying for the efftect the Bandai Kamen Rider models kits have or most Kamen rider figures bug eyes....you're are failing!!

The texture on the rest of the mask looks good though.

This is a easy pass. The movie just felt like Batman Begins for Spiderman and the costume is just lacking. Hot Toys does capture this costume well though.

I wished it was as good as Batman Begins. Just not much love for this movie with me. I was hoping for better dialogue but at times it seemed just about as corny as Toby's, not quite but just about.

All criticism about the movie aside, I do like the new costume and this figure. It's still a winner in my book, but then again I like Spider-Man period.

Also, when looking at the images above of Garfield Spidey vs Maguire Spidey - Maguire's version looks fat by comparison.

I think the Garfield body type is much more comic accurate. :)

My main problem with the "new" costume is just the fact that Spidey has one of the greatest set of threads in the entire comic-verse. Don't piss with something that is that great.
