Great.. now comes the 8+ months wait...

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

If they're not i'll still be happy
I dont want a flimsy Iron Man!

removable parts run the risk of being too easily removable :gah:

U got that right, i never did try to use the missle launcher on my mark 4 nor i was trying to open his chest piece, i knew this thing are very fragile

Also, ht should try to use other material on those ironman panties

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

It already shows pictures without the panels on the chest, so im sure both forms will be available.

I prefer it with the shoulder pods, cause it adds some extra bulk. And i think theres way too much gold on the chest without it

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

Never bought an Iron man figure but this will be my first.

I hope you're right, and for all the moaning about possible double dipping, they did it that way with the mk VI so I think the chances are pretty good.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

I went into the film thinking the only HT figure I'd need was gonna be Black Widow.

After leaving I decided I needed Hulk and Iron Man too :lol

I went into the film wanting them all, I came out wanting them all + Coulson.

been waiting for this figure. i just hope this is the one they are able to make the head look up. dont think we will get a full tony hs. most likely just face in helmet. only time we see tony full head in movie is in a quick shot for like 5 seconds and in bd armor.

Looking good. I think we'll be surprised with what they finally release.

The Mark V was the last new suit to be released and anyone who has that (like for example, me) will tell you that it represented quite a leap forward in terms of mechanical complexity and articulation.

The abdomen can bend in TWO places, the wristguards (while proven a little delicate for a handful of people) are large but flexible, therefore allowing for brilliant repulsor poses. I think the head even tilts pretty far back too!

We didn't see these in the Mark II AU, but it is still based mainly on an original design (I'm guessing the wristguards are still just plastic which can warp over time?) and was probably developed at the same time.

So hopefully, the VII will have the same articulation advancements as the V while still looking badass and suitably chunky as it looks in the film. I'm amazed sometimes at how unflexible my VI is.

:lol :lol :lol
You said it.

:lol

But it's kinda sad though... Wish they would release the figures in July.. not "december" (they mean Q1 2013, really)...

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: Iron Man MK VII

Not sure what the general concensus is, but i really like the Mk vii armour

I thinks it's the circular chest piece that does it as it has a more traditional look.

What i do hope for this release is that they do the arms like the (original), iii and v.

It's a minor quibble but i really prefer the rubber lining that they put on the inside arm at the elbow joint, on the mk iv and vi they didn't have it and it leaves these horrible gaps in the joints whereas previously it gave an added sense of realism

I doubt this will happen though :(

Never really paid any attention to the Mark V, seeing the amount of screen time, but if it is that impressive it I might have to make it mine.

Mark VII looks amazing, a heavily armed Iron Man suit than can stand next to War Machine and not look anorexic like the Mark VI.
