No way Sideshow is making $4.00 off this to retailers even with their direct sales to customers. I bet they get this figure for around $99-120. Then they shine up their clear plastic poles and ram them right up the collector's butts.

I bet if they got on board with XFC not too long after they announced it, the prices would be much cheaper than they will be

Actually, having worked in retail most of my life, a $75 markup really isn't that bad. It's usually double.

Not normal for this kind of market.

But most places are only giving about a 10% discount from Sideshow's and then charging shipping, so it usually makes it about the same price.

I'm not defending them or anything, I'm just sayin'.

Everybody has to make money somehow. Unless you can buy wholesale, you're gonna pay a high markup. Even Walmart gets things for 50 cents and sells them for $3.

If this came with another headsculpt, especially one that looks like Hugh, I might consider it, but since my pretend boyfriend said no, it's a pass for me.

You know.. it's also Wolverine's least popular movie look if we're being frank. Hot Toys could have taken a much different approach, with a similar pack out and had a more successful figure on their hands imo.

Wow just saw the price. Normally Im on the side of price increases are justified, but HT has hit my ceiling. Will not be get this. I was on the fence a little but I just can't justify this one. If they improve the head sculpt I may try and get one parted out but nothing about this is getting me to bite.
