I found tommh's more hysterical. Earlier in the thread he was adament he would be getting this, and multiples too. He even started teasing with " I ordered", "i got the secret link."..so it was funny seeing it blow up in his face..

Just fyi, a friend, she is looking to trade one of the two she ordered for an iron monger plus $200 cash. Cash not needed to pay until July 10th.
Just an option for those who rather not spend to much cash but trade instead and a little cash.

I can agree with you on the Asian market, they were able to buy a few but in the US market, you could only buy one and this figure is extremely limited at this point so I don't see a lot of "vultures" in the US market.

Shady characters have multiple accounts set up through Sideshow with multiple addresses so they can get extra exclusive figures.

This is going to look out of place in an Avengers display. You're going to have the rest of the time look brand spanking new and then a beat up old Iron Man with them.

Iron Man was pretty beat up before the rest of the Avengers even assembled in NYC. If anything this should have been the standard release as he was beat up 90% of the time in this suit.

I just put myself on the waitlist for this one!!

Well if that's the case then yeah I see where your coming from but If you just got your hands on one and for whatever reason decided to sell it and you sell it at a premium I don't think that makes you a scalper. You just happened to have something that's in high demand that people are willing to pay top dollar for.

Honestly, how likely is it that some would by multiples of this figure to keep and display?

I'm sure there's a perfectly justifiable, honest, made-up reason for why this friend-who-seems-to-be-an-intrepid-collector-but-also-happens-to-not-be-on-the-boards has bought 2, but all I can think of is the honest joe who's order went to waitlist because someone got greedy

So then his friend whom now is a "she" was a "he" and seems a bit fishy to me. Also on his profile he puts he is into the sideshow trooper line...and he has a trade thread now for the Mark Vii BD from his "friend" and on his trade lists are a ton of Sideshow troopers...that his "friend" is interested in... just sayin.. lol
