I don't take offense to anything being said on the web, especially when it's done on a board where people can be easily carried away arguing over their hobbies.
"..Sodomites - Schmodomites..". Who cares. People should turn down their sensitivity knob and move on. I see people cracking homosexual jokes and refs in here all the time, but for some reason that is not offensive? Go figure.
And before someone in here starts to dissect and analyze ( <- :) ) my words -
It is my opinion, and between mine opinion and yours, guess which one matters to me...

That's for sure. They also need to look up that word if they think it means gay.

What a gif! :rotfl

How about you look it up and see what it means.

That word has no business being used here and was used in a derogatory manner.

Agreed. I don't consider myself easily offended particularly when it comes to online forums but Darkmatter's posts and use of that particular word was over the top...again in my opinion.

But back to the topic at hand, I am really curious to see what happens with this figure long term. The appeal of this figure for me personally is the association with The Avengers. I didn't really expect 3 Iron Man figures from the movie, but it makes some sense given that Iron Man is Hot Toys' cash cow for now.

The one figure that I missed out on that I REALLY want is the Tony Stark Mech Test. But I am getting the Armor Test version which is similar, but I love the flight pose of the mech test. Crossing my fingers for a 2.0, but I doubt they will :(

Wow! All kinds of crazy drama in this thread!:lol I wish people would just read and understand what they are writing before sending it out there. That email is all kinds of nutty!
On another note, with HT, you'll never catch up. There's always a piece you believe you don't need only to want it badly later (the mech test). Sometimes you get into a license after the fact (Assassins Creed Ezio). But,it's reassuring that there's always something to look forward to in this hobby.

Nah I know what I want, and what's fun is that I have some friends in Hk an JP that can help me track down figures if need be, but man even they offer bleak outlooks on HT's nowdays saying that they sell out preorders quick which is mostly other toy stores and individuals who pre order figures just to saturate the market and sell at higher prices. I also collect other figures and I love pre ordering figures since it's the cheapest price I am going to get, but this is getting way out of hand.

I got some cash that came in and decided to acquire the avengers line. I bought Thor, Loki, Captain America, Luke, Batman TDKR at retail prices on Friday but I am a bit pessimistic about wait listing since it's my first time. I doubt many people will fail to keep their credit cards from not having funds or getting reject this time. I wanted to buy Hawkeye, Black Widow and Nick Fury but I wasn't expecting 400+usd prices on them already, so we will see... I paid off my batmobile so I have to probably save up for the shipping costs off that bad boy lol...

I keep telling myself, only to get regular main stream characters... and it's failed so far... lol

Buy what u love and what u know u will always enjoy having in yr collection

That is my main focus yes, but my disability money came in and it's given me a broader chance to acquire and branch out on other figures... like the avengers, even though I only told myself to get the classic Batman line...

Fair enough :duff
I was the same. Soon as I saw the Black Widow avengers figure she had to be mine, Then ironman, the reg VII and BD VII will be my first Ironman figures and the Tony Stark set. Its easy to get one character and the interest in the others flow on from that

:lol
He's not 'that' German kid but it'll suffice. BTW, I can't recall the movie that the first gif is from.

Hope everyone who wants this figure gets a shot at it.. I'm out, since the 'pink pants' issue means I'm avoiding all the figures with predominantly red nether regions.. so I'm looking forward to the XLII suit, since the color scheme means this should be less of an issue.
Who's to say that the gold livery on the XLII won't suffer from the same issue?? :panic: :D
