Think it's never about the actual worth, I mean take a look at the blue mauritius, actually "just a piece of paper".
But I agree, crazy times 4k for 5 Lego figures, and they sold:

Think the Mark VI Joint Promo will probably be the most expensive 1/6 Iron Man by now, not sure if anybody will pay the price but at a limitation of 16 pieces it'll probably not be much cheaper to get:

But if you think this is crazy, please be prepared: :thud:

Jesus christ!!!

That's it, I am hanging by the lego booth next year!!

There was I thinking Boba Fett was the one to get!

It may just be a waste of time. I tried to get the minifigures on multiple days and failed. My brother and I even had 8 tickets combined one day for the raffle and still didn't get the Superman minifig.

Azog was supposedly only being handed out to kinds under 12. At least that's what one of the guys at the LEGO booth told me.

Makes ya wonder how many kids got one and their parents don't realise what they got in their silly little Lego orc.

But then these are for kids so it also kinda cool to knowing that some kid is having great fun with a $1000 Lego man and adults are going ape because it's worth $1000 on ebay.

There's some ironic karma going on there or something!

This is just awesome. :yess::clap...I think it is awesome that they were giving them only to kids under 12.
We as collectors sometimes forget the real reason we collect and spend stupid money on our collectibles. We are tapping into that little kid still left in us that just wants something that sparks our imagination and gives us a little reminder we can still dream.
Sometimes we get way to caught up in the value or resale of our collections.
At the end of the day a little happiness is priceless..:hi5:

PS: I do have to say though, that 1200-1300 dollars for a lego minifigure is crackers!! Yikes!!

Except that kids under 12 aren't allowed into SDCC. Majority of those minifigs went to scalpers/resellers.

So now that I have the Mark 7, I'm even more excited for this. The armor turned out really nice and this BD is really going to set it off.

This is the thread for BDMVII right?

Alright, I PO'd from Sideshow a while back. But anyone have any info/ opinions on other, "lesser known" sites (like cornerstorecomics and toys2.net). Specifically the site; shopafx.com? I preordered silver centurion from there because they had him for a pretty cheap price (about 250 w/ shipping. I live in the states and the site says the store is in Hawaii so I guess thats why shipping wasn't so bad). But does anyone have any experience/ opinion about shopafx? You ever order a hot toys product from there? Any feedbacl would be really appreciated!

I emailed them about some stuff awhile ago.
They have a CA stateside warehouse (LA I believe).

The biggest drawback was they don't automatically double box items like BBTS, and I couldn't even request and pay extra for it like SSC. So I ultimately never ordered from them.

I want this figure, Really hope I can get in cheap on the second market. Headsculpt is fenominal!
