Yeah, looks pretty good in those pics. Will wait and see it first hand before making a decision about whether to keep it or not.

I expect once I get it in hand I won't want to sell.

I am curious about the Stark sculpt, it doesn't look like the prototype IMO. It looks like OMG (someone) pics should surface soon. Otherwise, it looks pretty good.

Not my pic

Again I'm more than happy how this turned out

Sure does not... it appears the Stark head has no mask...

it's therefore only meant for Tony lying on his back when Thor ripped the mask off

I'm guessing the faceplate comes off the normal head and can be used on the headsculpte, would be a waste not to. From the pics this looks pretty good, somewhere between the proto and the pics we have seen before, wish it was 250 though...

I beg to differ.... the mask (from the light-up head) would not fit on the Stark head.... no magnet/protruding red piece between the gold mask...

flipped-up mask also requires 2 metal-pieces (bottom 3rd piece for jaw) and 2 magnets in the head to keep it stuck-on properly... new masks only has one metal-piece, so far on Mk. VII.

Instead of a flip-up mask head, HT provided a mask-less head.... that has rather limited display option

Well that sucks, the proto was different and honestly I would have displayed him with the mask up. What a shame, pretty disappointed with that.:(

Figure looks like exactly the proto and the prototype that was at Japan, not the stand in. :dunno

As mentioned before you're looking at pictures that were taken casually. Wait for the blogger pictures and your panties will be flying off.

He meant....With the released/retail units.... this (flip-up mask) as shown with the prototype is not possible:

You could always create a mask for it that HT lacks..... and sell it here as well...

I was referring my post to the complaints about the figure in general, not specifically TheChozoWarrior. :wink1:

Or use the mask they give you. and a bit blu tack.
I reckon HT will have put a magnet in the centre of the helmet. It will be possible to display it with the lid opened, but not to display it closed.
Problem solved.

A Single magnet will not be able to keep the mask in place... which is why past and future flip-up masks will still be using dual magnets...

Then there's the Blu-tack/double tape option...

From the pics it's pretty clear there are no magnets, they dropped the ball on this one.

The Tony sculpt has had several changes aside from the faceplate. Eyebrows look more relaxed less angry, also notice the detail inside the helmet. Maybe they made it more screen accurate to the specific scene after he fell.

Magnet(s) could still be possible (though unlikely).... it could reside on top of the head under the plastic (non-visible)..

The reason for previous oblong magnets was to serve dual purpose... close and open face-plate

Looks to be a reuse/recycle of the Mk. VI helmeted face sculpt.... instead on a new sculpt...

They make it appears as Thor ripped the mask off...
