Mine was opened, inspected and now back in the box. Damn you Ikea for having such high shipping charges. I am too lazy to drive to your store to pick up a display case.

Without going into too much details, can anyone tell me if there are any huge differences b/w the Iron Man Mark VII BD and regular? I mean, besides the BD parts, are the head sculpts the same? Color?

Sorry I've been so busy lately I haven't been keeping up!

The HS are different and I would say there is a lot better HS on this one compared to the regular. The BD is throughout the whole figure. Also the color is duller on this BD version.

I'm down to one now. I really want to open it too. Probably keep it. Idk, it is a hard decision!

I just opened my last one, and honestly its a great great figure but deep down I really wish I traded it or sold it, currently im out of display spaces until i get more shelving so maybe that's playing a part to me not loving it, as he's crammed into a detolf with cap and bw. I think one of those light up led boxes would do it alot of justice...
I still haven't opened mine and I've had it for a week. Am I broken?

No, you've fallen into what i like to call "can't break the seal category", it seems like if I don't open it the day I get it, the harder and harder it becomes to open a hot toys... I look at the display box under a light, thinking do I really really want this; How many times have you've seen a hot toys in the box to be like meh but when you open it up your BLOWN away...
My currently stuck figures are
scar
star spangled cap
loki
2nd bw to customize

Here are some pics I took last night that has a good shot of the two next to each other. Sorry for the bad lighting in the last few pics....

just a general question. i'm a huge fan of Batman and i'm having this guy by the weekend. would it be wise to trade this with the QS001 with a little top up?

You answered your own q. Yes, you should. And of course a little top up, as the BD is more sought after.

Although I'd recommend selling the bd for an even bigger profit, and then find a deal on the QS001.

thanks for the input. the idea was that this Iron Man was the only one that i actually wanted (apart from BD mark vi) but the prices for that is so crazy.

but the QS001 is such a beauty and i've already have a DX12 :)

It blows the dx12 out of the water. In fact, sell that. You won't want to look at it ever again.

I'm debating wether or not to keep my last BD myself.

Good luck.

I really like this figure but I'm kind of disappointed a few joints are loose. My reg MK7 has perfect joints.
If the clavicle on the BD are glued-in... it should be possible to still pop them off without too much trouble (provided HT did not slap-on too much glue)...

Nothing on my BD is glued in. I actually popped one of the clavicle pieces off by accident posing the arm and thought "hmm they're not glued" and then took the other off. Definetly no glue. You'd still have to take a tab off the shoulder pod though.

EDIT- correction, I think the chest panel is glued on.

Yeah, I agree. Sell the DX12!

the only thing i'm 'worried' about is how displaying a 1/4 and 1/6 scale would look awkward to me.

yea, I would think they would look odd in the same display case. Hence why I will never jump to 1/4 scale. But if you do, just have separate display cases for the scales.

It's just tight. I thought the same thing. But with a bit of finesse, the chest came off.

Finally got to unbox. I'm part of the "he's a keeper" camp. This piece is awesome and a must have for the avid fan. The base and Stark sculpt are awesome and they set it apart from the standard MK VII above and beyond the different paint work.

I got both this and Iminime's Blondie today. Two rare gems in one day :rock:rock

Gonna dedicate some quality time with these two beauties and redo my Avengers set up today :yess:
