Nice of them to state that we're collecting "dolls" :lol

Like I stated before, they said we would get PO when the movie launches so I guess it only makes sense that it'll go up during the week of May 3rd. :dunno

Well, these are a couple of fascinating new pictures.

The ball joint for the head sits quite a bit off the neck post, presumably to allow the head to tilt up much further than previous figures could.

Now I am curious if the head can be pressed down, when looking forward normally, flush onto the post. This would definitely explain the differences in neck length between all the pictures.

Seeing that the neck issue looks "fixed" in the proto pictures, I'm going to say that the head isn't fully flushed there. Not really surprising seeing as they don't always assemble these things correctly for their display events.

I don't remember MKVII without the weapon pods on its shoulder? Anyone?
I think if they came with it, I'd pick it over the standard version.

This is specifically for when Tony (in Mk. VII) fell back to Earth... they should include the HS (When Thor ripped the face plate off).... Basically all the Chitauri are defeated and only Loki to deal with....

Ahhh right! I'm in two minds. On on hand it looks better than the first release MKVII but then, for me, the weapons pods are what makes the figure stand out over the previous marks

As good as this looks i'm not a fan of over the top battle damage on my figures, but i do want two things from this set, the Stark headsculpt helmet and the repulsor hands. Doubt i'll ever get them tho :(

They pop off just after he goes through the rift and Jarvis shuts down through the signal being lost(Kind of like in IM1 when he went too high in the MKII).
Here's a screen cap just after the two sides of the part pop off in separate directions:

Cool...you know I remember that scene but it didn't dawn on me they were the pods that went. Literally didnt even notice! I need to watch it again :)

Nice, finally I can see a picture of his back :yess: it looks great

Actually in IM1 the suit powers down due to the Icing problem at high altitudes, which I suppose would cause a signal loss :p.

In Avengers the backpack and shoulder launchers jettison when he expends all the suit power pushing the nuke through the portal. Once those rockets and jets are expended the units detach from the armor to lose the useless weight. It was explained in an interview with the suit designer.

At least I think that's what I read haha.

Actually in IM1 the suit powers down due to the Icing problem at high altitudes, not because of a signal loss. Hence why he uses the Gold Titanium alloy from the satellite so the suit wouldn't freeZe up.

I never said that in IM1 Jarvis shut down due to a loss of signal. Jarvis was uploaded into the MKII. Read it again, lol. I said the MKVII shut down in a similar fashion to what happened to the MKII.

This is finally going to be an Ironman that can do the face fully up in a Flying pose and a Wrist fully up at a 90% repulsar shot. I can't wait to get my "Final" Ironman.

Die-Cast can go in the toilet!

the neck is defiantly a new design (not aesthetically speaking) the question i have is where is the on off switch for the eyes now?

I agree, It looks like its gonna be the definitive Iron Man yes :yess: but the Mark XLII is growing on me, I always like that armor.. but now I'm loving it :drool I think it will be even better than this one

Until you start having trouble with those metal (die-cast) parts in a year or so.
