Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Just preordered this guy
Really looking forward to using the dynamic stand

Gotta find room though, the base is huuuuuge

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

I don't know about the mimiwoo but I have the Scale-X-toys and it is a big disappointment. It holds figures very poorly. I wouldn't recommend it.

I think I may juts give up the clear stand idea and go with sideshow's new dynamic stand...

If you're talking about this stand (pic below) then it's by HT not SS and it's the same as you're getting with the MoS figures. The base will be nearly the same size as well

Not nice at all. I hate these F'ing. stands :lol

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

I have on of these stands on PO and today I just realised, why?

It may come in handy for some nice DX09 poses but I don't think I could use it on anyone else.

I'll be using mine for my IM Mark 7!

Any Superman, Clark Kent, Jedi, Batman, Ninja or generic action hero can be posed on this stand.
Anyone who can fly or jump high(Or jump down *from* a height) can be posed on the action stand.
Thor jumping up and about to hit Caps shield springs to mind.
I'd welcome it for this one:

It's just such a pity that the arm is so stiff/unwieldy?

Which stand is this? That's one that I think HT needs to change is make the grabber pivot up and down or side to side. I know you can just rotate the rod on the new dynamic stand so it coils that way but it still sticks out too much.:lecture

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

I was really hoping to pose the cape in a "wind-blown" style kind of like this...

Unfortunately none of these poses can be achieved without a little trick photography.

I can tell you all those HK collectors that posted the cape post in the earlier thread shots used some kind of special effect, because trust me the cape can't hold up like that without some help. :lecture

Is it big enough to do it though?

It's just a custom. I'll PM you pics and a how-to.
I should have my MOS in a week or two from Sideshow.
When i get it i will look and see if i can do an alteration to make it like the one above.
Should be simple enough.
