Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Question 1: Does SS not charge you until the figure is in stock? I preordered and they hadn't charged me yet.

Question 2: How do I do that with the cape? haha

1. I'Il guess they charge you when it's ready to ship.. I'm not sure because I got mine from Hong Kong.

2. I taped the cape to a black thread and taped that to the side of the cabinet. :)

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Any Superman, Clark Kent, Jedi, Batman, Ninja or generic action hero can be posed on this stand.
Anyone who can fly or jump high(Or jump down *from* a height) can be posed on the action stand.
Thor jumping up and about to hit Caps shield springs to mind.
I'd welcome it for this one:

Yeah I could get more use out of it than I thought but mainly my idea was for it to be used with Keaton Batman. I suppose I can use it with some of my SW characters.

Thank you!!!

It was your YT review that convinced me to pick him up buddy. That was one hell of an informative and detailed review, thanks. :clap

Well, then you will probably have him by tomorrow. Since there's no rhyme or reason to how Sideshow ships, your figure might even have arrived a week before you ordered!

No luck there mate, I'm UK based and I have it on PO with a UK retailer so he is a few months away from being in my collection.

No, they aren't charging until next week - so at least a week away for those of us getting them from Sideshow.

Yep and even longer for us over here. :lol

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Kind of annoyed my retailer still hasn't shipped this.
wonder what the hell is going on haha.

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

I thought people in the UK had them haha

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

I had an hour free this afternoon at work, so i threw together a base with three flexible arms to hold the cape in windblown poses.
Looks like it might work okay. Not sure if it might benefit from more arms. Or if three are enough.

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Nice use of the flexible posts & neodymium magnets Barry.

Just looking at this, I'm thinking you could run the flexible arms up the back of the center post and then bend it left/right along the cape as you desire. Then drape and hold the cape in place with the magnets. You could effectively hide the flexible post altogether. :)

My Brother suggested the very same thing. If could be done with just black electrical insulating tape, to hold the flexible arms, and i will be trying it when i get my MOS figures from SS.

Great minds think alike! :hi5: As always, looking forward to your creation. Do you plan on adding the additional flexi post option to your custom bases? ;)

That would be a tough proposition as i do not have an infinite amount of these flexi things.
I might be able to look into making one or two though...

Gotcha. Is there another type of flexible tubing with similar diameter that can be used and is more readily available that you're aware of?

These are available, but normally only in silver at my local places. They are USB powered LED lights for notebooks.
They sell them everywhere. I just chopped the USB and LED ends off, then taped magnets to the tips and covered those with black insulating tape.
But these things are far from hard to get.
I only have a small number of the black ones though.

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Looks like they work great, just looks like a bit too much of a distraction for my taste....
