Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

This was my very first Hot Toys figure and I am a fan. The likeness is dead on and my coworkers were highly impressed by the detail. This figure was SO well done and will probably be getting more in the future. WOW.

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Thanks guys! I hope the video helps.

I just wanna go on record and say that I can't take credit for the modifications. I merely copied what was already done by others and maybe saved people from unstitching their suits from the back.

That's whats great about this community. :duff

That being said. Here's mine.

These are amazing pics ShortRound, easily are movie still quality! and by putting up that tutorial video you and Emarae have given many a collector that impulse and ease of mind to go through with the modification knowig what we can expect to see. Seeing someone go through it in video really helps enormously as a reference so while you guys didn't actually come up with the mod, respect for taking the time to help us out. You guys rock :rock

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Well my second mod went without a hitch. Once again Emarae and ShortRound big props to the video. It was so much smoother the second time around on this. :wave

Did a different method of repainting the S symbol than the first mod

Tony hurry up with the wired cape..I'm ready!

Great work Guyver, pics are great too. :clap

I've ordered a cape from Tony, going to give the mod a go, thanks to Emarae and ShortRounds video.

I just want to say, that I was nervous about even attempting the mod before I saw your vid. Now I think I can pull it off, and I need to get my Tony cape. So thanks bro!

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Thinking about doing the collar mod as well. Thanks for the great video!

My MoS was supposed to be delivered today. Just checked the tracking status to see that an exception has been made due to adverse weather conditions. Bollocks.
:impatient:

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Great vid fellas! I will be doing the same to mine.

It's weird. After seeing the vid, HT was headed in the right direction, which makes me wonder why the stock figure looks the way it does. Thankfully this simple mod makes the figure shine so much more. I mean, post mod, it's perfect!

The company is a very strange beast when you take in consideration just how close they can get to perfection, but don't. Its like with this figure, I can see the process going like this;

"Great job on the HS, its sublime"
"Thanks Howard, you should take a look at the outfit, it's awesome....however...."
"However what?"
"Well...the collar area, it's placed too high. And the shoulder area looks too puffy. The early design was perfect, so I don't know why (outfit designer) did that instead"
"Oh I told him to do that..."
"....why?"
"Oh i don't know, because I'm the boss? And because I don't know **** you?"
"What?"
"What?"
".....what?"
".....what?"

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Someone needs to do a head sculpt where his eyes are closed so he can take in the energy from the sun before he takes off into the sky.

That actually would look pretty cool.

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Has anyone come up with a idea to replace the pole for the stand instead of bending the crap put of it?

I have an idea but have yet to implement it.
I'll see if i have time net week to get it done.

In the meantime, i made some Kryptonite at work today.

Guys can you reuse the stock cape after the neck mod or must you buy new cape?
