Maybe I should've gone with a little more dull paint but is it too metallic?

Better shiney.

Still don't know why he doesn't want gold on the outfit but goofy looking colors like blue and red on black... x.x

I don't get it either. I'm personally not a fan of the AOU costume at all. But i'm kinda going to great representations of the comic costumes which TWS costume pretty much was. She just needs her longer hair and it's comic book Natasha right there. Not that crappy hairstyle from IM2 either.

Alright guys it's done. What do you all think? Twas my first time ever painting something. XD

That actually looks pretty cool! :clap I'll always picture comic book gold as a bright yellow (which doesn't work at all), but this gold paint offsets the black nicely. I can't remember if it was in your plans or not, but will you be painting the belt gold too? It looks like it could use a little more balance overall; the gold just stands out a tiny bit. Otherwise, if you're not painting the belt, I'm starting to think the silver might match the outfit better.

Just my two cents. Either way, fantastic work for a first time!

Thanks man! I appreciate that. I was thinking about doing the belt...but I don't know if i'll try that yet. But I did order extra WB's to paint silver since I do wanna keep the stock black ones. :) I'll paint those and put them on the fig whenever I get them.

The main reason why I wanted to try silver was cause I LOVE her look in the current Edmonson/Noto run.

I was just going to mention the belt..... the comic belt would look great on the figure now after the mod to the bites, that and a long hair wig and BOOM, classic comic Widow :lol

That's my plan, man! That's why I'm hoping that we get a movie where Natasha gets her signature long hair.

But which belt to paint? Like the belt belt that's tilted on her hip? Or the sides up to the Widow logo? Cause I feel like it'd look a little odd if I just painted the little ends of the Widow logo

Hi! I just bought Black Widow (my first Hot Toy) and I wanted to know is there anything I should be aware of when I get her, like how to change out her hands? I just want to make sure. Thanks!

Congrats! It's a great figure, you'll definitely be happy. Like Username mentioned, the hands aren't difficult to change out, but I'd be careful with the pistols. They're not too fragile, but sometimes if you drop them you can lose a spring or the ammo clip.

The current series is pretty awesome; I stopped reading it after a few issues (too many books on my pull list), but that is a fantastic look to aim for.

I didn't think about it until now, but there is a dilemma about the belt since she has two (or one and a half) of them. My original idea was to paint the belt on her hips, but it doesn't have her widow logo, so the look wouldn't be quite accurate. Here's a crazy idea though if you're comfortable modding the figure- take the widow logo off her stomach and attach it to her belt. It'll stand out a bit because of the size differential, but then you'd have just the one belt to paint. I just have no idea what to do with the hip holsters.

As far as the hair, I've yet to try this, but I wonder if you might be able to do a simple hair swap with another custom head like this one. I seem to recall seeing somewhere that the portion of the head with the hair is removable (with some force, of course).

Yeah get rid of the widow logo belt and just use the lower one.....
What about a custom comic accurate belt?
That head could work(the hair anyway)

Oooo thanks for that idea. Yeah it looks like I can just cut the belt with the logo off and put it on the tilted belt. I think the hip holsters can stay the color it already is. **** man, thanks for the suggestions, i'm really considering it now.

Okay....does anyone know how to take the belt off without removing the suit? I got the holsters off.

Edit: **** I think I just broke the belt. XD Oh well, I can just buy extras since I wanna try both colors. What places can I buy extra parts? Preferably located in the US?

You're welcome for the suggestions!

Toy Anxiety sells spare parts, and they have an extra belt on their site here. Monkey Depot also has it here and is even slightly cheaper.
