I assume you played with the hair to get it to look like this?

Someone needs to tell us how these awesome hairstyles for Black Widow are being achieved. Is it as simple as just wetting the hair and combing it down? Or is some kind of gel involved? Out of the box the hair looks too thick and pouffy--I want to get that straightened look.

:lecture Agreed!

Spill the beans, Freaks, inquiring minds want to know! :lol

I use the Azone Doll Styling Wax but I supose any similar product for synthetic hair would work.

Nope, I took those pics straight out of the box. I kept the clear plastic sleeve around her head while I posed her to avoid messing up the hair.

But I have used real hair gel before in the past for my IM2 and Avengers BW to keep the hair down and loose strands from popping up. I damp the hair with very little water, and then I use a very small tiny amount of hair gel, it holds pretty well and no problems of flaking or hair becoming hard.

So how hard is it to peel her outfit off?

I'm not being a pervert. :wink1: I just kinda want to put her in a different outfit. One similar to what she's wearing during the street fight scene.

Maybe it'd be smarter to buy a new body and just swap the head...

Or just buy a new (custom/pirated) body and head for around USD 60 to 65....

Some BW:TWS suit are glued to the body around the buttocks area.... even without that it's an extremely tight fitting suit and the fabric material used does not expand, you'll also undo the glue for the widow buckle...

Though I'd assume getting her out of the suit is easier than getting her in it.....

Accidentally deleted my post there. :cuckoo:

I'd prefer not to buy any pirated head sculpts, personally. A new body I could do, but I'll have to shop around. I've been desperately waiting for more TrueTypes to be released.

I see this is the body that's recommended on the eBay page for her WS civilian outfit.

Dang. I threw mine out.

That body has a huge buttocks (If that's what you prefer)..... I'd recommend the B or C variant of the "medium bust" Verycool body that's selling for around USD26, though it may have weak hip joints (that could be rectified) it's the closes to HT's BW body....

With a "custom" BW head and a Verycool medium bust body:

Thanks for the tip. I do see some people on eBay selling nude Black Widow bodies, mostly from the Avengers figure, but I assume they're either the same or extremely similar? I'm guessing that civilian clothing set would fit a Hot Toys body, but I'm not 110% sure.

Awesome, thanks man.

For Widow's sake, don't buy it !!! It's really a lame body... Bust is too huge for 'large bust' clothes, same for the buttocks.
I'm agree with bandito, best 'non-HT' bodies for the Widow are the VeryCool FX02-B (mid bust, Flesh Caucasian), and VeryCool FX01-B (large bust, Flesh Caucasian).

By the way, 'official' bodies, MMS 239 (BW:TWS) and MMS 178 (BW:Avengers) are identical. MMS 178 looks a little taller because of the heel on the boots, but it's the same body.
And both (PopToys POP-X14 "Female Spy Leather Suit" and OneSixthKit "Agent N Smark Casual Wear") of civilian sets will fit this body, except for boots... These bodies don't have feet or 'ankles', only pegs to fit with the holes in their Widow's original boots, but in those sets, pegs are inside the boots, so you will need 'ankles' or to use the Widow's original boots.

Here's the MMS 239 leg, with the peg

Wid02.jpg
You have to remove it (be careful, it's glued) and replace it with an 'ankle' from an other body (I used the VeryCool FX02-B ankle)

Wid03.jpg
And now it can fit anything (but it's a little bit ugly, so you have to hide it with boots or pants lol) ;)

Finally, this is the MMS 178 (easier to undress MMS 178 than MMS 239) with the white tank top and the leather jacket from the OneSixthKit "Agent N Smark Casual Wear" clothes set, and as you can see, it fit perfectly :yess:

Thanks for the warning! Are the Verycool bodies a good skin tone match for her head? And are they comparable with Hot Toys' hands?

I'd rather not have to futz around with those peg legs if I don't have to. Otherwise I'd need to buy a HT body and ankles...

1) Colour match: B bodies... or even C bodies.... stick with B... it's close but not quite there...
2) Hands compatibility: The pegs on VeryCool could use HT's hands. Caution though: the pegs are very difficult to remove or put in, or even putting it half-way in.
3) The double ball joints are fully usable on boot/feet variants that has standard ball socket (including HT's BW's boots or even male boots).

Is that the civilian WS set? Do you have full body pics?

Yup, the tank top and the leather jacket are parts of the OneSixthKit "Agent N Smark Casual Wear" clothes set.
And I do have full body pics :

STD-IMG_5094.jpg
Accurate to the movie, jacket closed with black tank top (the white tank top is also included in the set)

STD-IMG_7049.jpg
From head to toes.

The body here is the VeryCool FX01-A because I wanted to try a 'large bust', but type A (Pale Light Tan) is too pale and don't match for her head (MMS 239)
Type B (Flesh Caucasian) is not perfect, but it's the best match.

Otherwise, the Flirty Girl FB01-M-C (mid bust, medium tan, type C) match for this HS too, but Flirty Girl bodies are 'full plastic', no rubber.

This is the POP-X14 "Female Spy Leather Suit" clothes set by PopToys. Here's a Flirty Girl FB01-M-C body with the MMS 239 HS, accurate to the movie, jacket closed and with Bucky's file in her hand.

Kit05.jpg
Jacket opened, and as you can see, in this set it's not a tank top, it's a tube top.
The Flirty Girl FB01-M-C is very 'basic' (no rubber, less points of articulation than HT or VeryCool bodies), but it's very strong and robust, and match very good for this HS.
