Would you guys recommend getting this guy as an original movies Trooper? I had my 2 Stormtrooper Exclusive set stolen some months back and its hard to get hold of the ANH Troopers. The only ones available that I've noticed are the Sandtrooper and this Spacetrooper.

Absolutely. The trooper may have only been visible for a few seconds, but he's on the Death Star and the trooper was played by Joe Johnson himself. Can't get much more OT than that.

I was debating the same thing as well. I might chance it and wait for more discounts since he's not low stock yet, the 15% off ($33 off) is not bad, but I'm gonna hope to get it a little bit less since he isn't a must-have to me yet, but it would be nice to own. I'm getting the Jedha troopers to add to my 2-set and Sandtrooper. Sorry to hear that your set was stolen, Rogue One has the regular Stormtrooper that you can use to replace, even though it doesn't come with the original weapons I don't think, but that's probably the closest you can get unless they re-release more from the OT.

Really sorry to hear that. That's a recurring nightmare of mine.

One other option is to pick up the Jumptrooper which is currently in stock at Popcatcha (Australia) with a 20% discount.
The Jump pack is removable on that figure, but one major issue is the Jumptrooper is heavily weathered with dark grey.

The Spacetrooper is really nice and shiny on a tall body. The backpack and mask hose may not be removable but it's right now representing my OT HT Stormtrooper alongside my HT Sandtrooper and SSC Stormtrooper.

A good option is to wait for the Hot Toys Return of the Jedi Stormtrooper that was previewed months ago.

The classic Original Trilogy Stormtroopers and their variations (Sandies, Spacetrooper) will always be more iconic compared to any other troopers, including PT clones, TFA Stormies or R1 Stormies.

Yeah, I'm not into army building, so I just want to snag one OT to be my definitive Stormie. When I had the set, I was done for the classic white Trooper and I was planning on selling the short Trooper. The only other troops I would've picked up are a classic Tie Fighter pilot and probably an Imperial guard and whatever other significant troops are released by Hot Toys that I'm interested in.

Just trying to fulfill my ANH Trooper to stand next to Vader. I might wait for a major discount on the Space Trooper like other folks have mentioned.

It really sucked, because all my HT Star Wars figures were stolen (Vader, Han and Chewie EX set, Storm Trooper EX set, and several other Hot Toy and Premium Formats [many grails].

I may wait for the ROTJ Stormtrooper, since they shouldn't be much different than the ANH ones.

Yup, I have that's how I have him displayed. It is basically a Storm Trooper with space gear.

Maybe he's referring to the GOROGUE15 code which was only good on TFA figures and expired on the 19th?

The only coupon codes that work on the Spacetrooper that I know of are the -$20 off codes from orders and the -$25 off code from the google ad.

Just got this figure in the mail last night, but I have a few problems. First off the undersuit is way too tight, same with one of my HT sandies. It's impossible to bend the arms 90 degrees sideways and moving the arms slightly backwards. Then I have another problem with the head, it just pops off when I try to turn it! It feels(and looks) like the undersuit has been badly fixed during production, but scince I can't take off the armor without damaging it I so now im stuck in not knowing what to do. Should I contact Sideshow or is it this just a standard thing about most troopers that is easily fixed?

Joints are looser on this compared to the other HT troopers but not too bad. Glad I got him for a decent price before it goes up.

I think it's a great figure and a nice variation on the classic stormtrooper
