^ Very Nice!! :rock :rock Great review too. Congrats on getting him! :yess:
Thank you! I really wanted to get this one, I even put an X-mas tree this year expecting him to come by the end of December, yeeeah,...right, dreams aren't forbidden)))))))
Those thematic photo shoots sound interesting, please post some pics of them if you get the chance! :)
Sure thing, but I see that many collectors here just do crazy good displays only, and I love to do diorama shoots or set up scenes/situations where these superheroes may potentially continue to "live in", they are from an "imaginary land", so I don't stay "fixed" on displaying only and I literally go all the way. I also do redressing and restyling sometimes, I just recently realized that it keeps me really occupied between movie releases.LOL.

Just came across this one today and it cracked me up, so I have to post it here while some folks are still waiting for their uncle Buck to come.

Congrats on getting Bucky in and the great review was much appreciated:goodpost::clap - w. recent pics I'm appreciating the costume, which is looking quality - very early shots for me out of Hong Kong I was thinking the jacket MIGHT have looked like HT had gone cheap w. fabric - maybe.

Me too. Or I hope to. Not for every fig, but a few key scenes, or at least construct something that evokes a film poster *thinking*. Re the packaging etc. - well, I can't shake the feeling that for whatever reason HT cut things as much as they could with Black Panther and WS both, which for me is a surprise. E.g., good figures, but BP has IMO a minimal hand set and no accessories (I would have liked to see another set of clawed hands, maybe with wide open palms); Bucky could have had a second sculpt or a shield as he does use it in the film. To be honest I think these figs deserved better re the characters they portrayed. Maybe HT rightly figured people would buy anyway, based on BP first appearance and first "full" Bucky face.:huh

Also thank you for your evaluation of the sculpt/paint - well, don't have him in hand, so for now just what I thought - it's a bit of a "generic" Bucky (or Sebastian) - tho as has been said paint makes a difference:monkey3. On the other hand it's better than the *extreme* jaw I see in low-end toys. Guess that's a slippery slope w. portraits and that scale - IMO the AC Play head is a bit much. Without having him in hand, I think a lot is going to depend on view angles and lighting too. Your pictures were great BTW:clap, well lit and clear (and v-i-s-o-n's were also much appreciated, and others that folks sourced:)).
Myself, without having Bucky in hand, just thinks this fig is screaming for some guyliner:cool: e.g. "proto look" :horse :lol but not having it in hand - IMO that's a slippery slope too, the difference in an image vs. reality. Couldn't resist tinkering w. your pic tho...:monkey3

Not that I can PAINT. But got curious re rimming the inner eyelids w. a reddish brown re some figure painters doing this. And shaded the hairline and eyelids a bit a bit. Guess the secret among others is be subtle. Have no idea what the "master painter" did w. the nose etc. Think either a bit of liner or lining the inner lids MAY help the eyes on mine pop IF needed:dunno. When it gets here:impatient:. Guess I may have Bucky and a Dr. Strange BluRay all in the same month.

Thanx again for review!:)

Thank you! :)

I agree and I think future sets will be better, hopefully packed with extra accessories. I think WS Buck will go $$$ up again. I was hunting this figure down for the last year and at late 2015/early 2016 I could see only 1 figure being offered at OK price, the rest was over $350 or even more. But by the end of summer 2016 I could find at least 2 figures posted through Ebay every week. I think many collectors sold their figures to get CW Buck as a replacement (like you said a "full Bucky face" figure), but I think it will be the cheapest figure in the entire line after a few years compare to WS Buck and a future "Cap" Buck figure. I saw it before with other types of collectibles. I'm sure HT will do lots of sculpt improvements for the future Buck figures but WS Buck will be always appreciated for its accessories and the fact that it was the 1st Buck figure ever made by HT.

I prefer to call him "basic", but he is still cool in person. I have a "custom" unbranded Buck figure on a Phicen body and I enjoy it very much, my fav Buck, I call him "Supreme Bucky", lol, because he was the 1st Bucky I got..lol The paint is definitely important because it helps to get the right finish or correct proportions if they are off.

Your pictures were great BTW:clap, well lit and clear
Thank you, will do more with my WS Buck.

But for now my new Bucky already plays with his new toys.

Sweet review! Like how they're more of a discussion and the parts where you show the concept art are pretty neat. I do agree that the bunching of the sleeve over the metal arm is super annoying. Excited for the Black Panther review!

Very good review, thank you for the comparison. I'm so relieved I'm not the only one who thinks that the new figure feels very basic and some proportions are off.

P.S. The WS Buck pants suppose to be like that, they are done as "dusty" pants, so they are not faded. For your pouches repair you will need this glue (get it from Michael's Craft Store or Joann Fabrics, I think Walmart Craft section has it too. When glued keep two pieces together with your fingers for 5-10 min to get a permanent grip). One of my pouches completely fell off and I used it to repair it. I'm a professional crafter and I worked with this glue for years, so far it never failed me:

Woohoo thanks! I'll grab that

Good review Agent Batman. I like the comparisons and the switch around but I do wish you focused a little more on the new figure. Definitely tempted to get this figure still I really am.

Know what you're saying but folks will come at things from their interest/background etc. - as the guy says, he's an artist, does a lot of drawing faces and openly says the likenesses are important to him. Me too, tho I don't agree w. everything he says (especially the hair/face thing. But I don't draw, and it was interesting for me hearing about the "process" of that).

But if you mean articulation/sturdiness - well, so far, looks like this Bucky is pretty sturdy and HT's FB pics have Bucky in all kinds of positions. And for me the clothes look good quality; rifle looks pretty nice. So far "in general" as figs go, doesn't seem to be any joint complaints/floppiness so far. For me the only thing - and maybe I'm wrong and it's head angles - I think I'm seeing slight differences in different figs re the way the face is painted. Like some figs have a larger iris re the eyes than others. Maybe that's typical of HT? Just different batches? Photo differences? *Shrug*:dunno
