I wrapped the figure in a soft plastic bag and then placed it in a thick brown shipping bag with air pillows for protection. I went to a 10pm showing, so the mall was pretty much empty except in the theatre area. I was able to take picture of it without much people noticing. I took the figure back to the car before going inside the theatre.

I was thinking about bringing my QS Mark 42, but it was too big to carry around.

So Yoshi, that you have both the 45 and 46...which do you prefer and why?

The 46. Bit of a nightmare getting the batteries in but the proportions are perf, along with the bunch of accessories and headsculpt. Whether you have it with the headsculpt or helmet, it looks great on display.

Planning on displaying this in a detolf with another IM figure. Problem is that the stand is too big. What are you others doing?

I request a pack-out for this guy and was told I was getting one, but neither the invoice nor the shipping notification says anything about it.

Should I be concerned? Does the paperwork typically say something about the pack-out?

I got the shipping notification after hours Friday night, so I can't talk to Sideshow about it until Monday.

I requested pack-outs for my last 2 or 3 orders, was told they'd do it, didn't get them. Wasn't charged either, but still it was annoying.

To be honest, it kinda makes me consider switching to BBTS. Every time I've ordered a HT fig from them, it's always shipped within another box. Plus they have $4.00 flat rate shipping now (but no RP). Whereas you earn RP with Sideshow, but it's offset by the higher shipping costs, plus you have to pay $10 more if you want a pack out, so even with RP factored in, you still end up spending more money.

Got this today and I absolutely love it. Such a beautiful figure, the accessories are great, especially the RDJ sculpt, and it looks really cool all lit up. As my one and only Hot Toys Iron Man it's perfect. The design is great, it has a bunch of LEDs, and it has a full Tony Stark head with an amazing likeness.

Received the other day. Easily the best Iron Man figure.
I haven't even attempted inserting the batteries yet. I'm dreading it.

Just wanted to point out an Amazon seller has this up with Prime shipping for $360 right now. Been eye-balling this figure and ended up canceling the Drax I had in my POL for it. Should be here Thursday.

I received the Mk. 46 last night and I can say without a shadow of a doubt, THIS is the quintessential Iron Man figure to own. It's absolutely glorious! Pain in the butt battery installation aside, it is such a gorgeous figure. Just simply amazing in person!

What I hate is that I kind of want the Mk. 47 now, despite bashing it just weeks ago! Ahhhh!!!! :gah:

Good to hear because I wanted *a quintessential Iron Man figure* - just one. And it needed to be mostly red and I needed a good face sculpt. Even w. the battery issue watching/reading reviews IMO this looked gorgeous. Plus from one of my favorite films.

And 'coz I missed UPS by minutes yesterday and got the run-around and was already irritated w. Sideshow 'coz had been told the figure would arrive last week when I was like, home all week:mad:, I'm chasing after my IM which is now headed for a UPS store for pickup - maybe today, maybe tomorrow. Nicely I have to pay to pick up from the UPS store, but I can't sit around all day waiting. Sideshow is supposedly giving me a coupon which I probably won't use in time *sigh*.

I'm just glad I paid for the pack-out option if my IM is taking the scenic tour of town.:( But. I plan to install each and every battery and see Tony fully lit, at least once - LOL before I have to turn around and take every battery out again for long-term display.

...I've been staring this one down lately.

I owned the Mark VII, sold it on because of the proportions. Had a nice Mark IV (no significant fade issues) but sold it anticipating upgrades and still better proportions.

Skipped the DC Mark III as I didn't like the way it turned out; have DC Mark VI on pre-order but I have to admit, this one is looking good. Really good.

I recently caved and upgraded A1 Black Widow to CW version due to headsculpt, and now I'm really wondering if I should just go ahead and snag this.

Mine is arriving this week from SS. Planning on displaying this with the mark42 as they'll show a nice contrast between each other. Until I get some custom stands made, I hope both stands from the 42 and 46 can fit in the detolf.

Mark 46 tomorrow. Can't wait to post a review with some pics
