Glad I happened to check my email and see the Sideshow email to pre order! Love this outfit. I do like the CW one but can't see that figure coming anytime soon and I also don't think the outfit is as "superhero" as this one. Doesn't bother me she only wore it for a few moments at the end of AOU.

It's back on wait list now...

I'm glad she sold out so quick. Hopefully CW Wanda will be announced in the next few weeks

My plan is just to own this one.. But I think CW will be one of those teases after the movie which won't get released until many months after (like Iron Legion and Mk45) .. In fact I wonder whether the release time-frame around the movie will be similar to Mk 43 vs Mk 45..

Depending on how the movie goes I may just want it as well, and be scribbling around trying to find the original civilian figure... :lol

And now you can buy GA for less than retail. That should be the lesson for people now sweating like they think they missed out.

Are you talking about the Golden Age Cap from Winter Soldier or the Star Spangled Kid Cap with the Heater Shield? The latter is selling for below retail, but the GA Cap promo is selling pretty high.

Looks like both Scarlet Witch and Battlin' Cap are wait listed. Glad I grabbed this yesterday; I really think this is the best looking Wanda so far. Resale...whatever. Just want the best look for the Avengers shelf.

The cheapest one on eBay is 300usd. The cheapest. That's not close to the retail price. Sorry

The retail was 210. So it's a huge mark up. And I've never seen one for cheaper then it was for retail unless it was missing something or loose. Not once. To be less then retail it would need to be under 210 dollars.

Just looked at past sales in eBay. I was wrong...one figure in 30 days was sold below retail. And 28 over. And 15 over 300. 5 over 325. Two over 350 in the sold section. Meaning completed. So, not really that cheap.

GA Cap definitely would have been my favorite if not for the pinhead. I had to sell it that's all I focused on when looking at it.

How does waitlist work? Does it matter how early you hop on it or is it random?

It's supposed to go in number order (like getting in line) but I've seen on some occasions people reported that theirs converted before someone else who got on the list first. That might be random and rare though

Thanks for answering my question on both threads bud (I preordered SW but had double doubted myself on Capt hence why iam now trying to secure one )

In my mind it was $230 retail, but still, with a bit of patience you can get one without paying a huge premium or even right at or a bit below the original $210. Considering another SW will be coming soon as well (perhaps imminently), I wouldn't sweat FOMO on this one and doubt it will fetch out of reach prices down the road. And definitely don't jump on it only thinking you can strike a big profit because its a "rare" Movie Promo, which should be the most cautionary tale of the GA Cap, Stealth Mk7, etc. There won't be anymore Special Project prices and pieces, the market is way to saturated and there will always be another version coming soon.

I don't think it will sell out that fast.

Looks like I wasn't such an ***** when I brought up golden age cap and that every single year since they have done movie promos at least one figure sells out in less then a day. So much for those "that was two years ago" stuff huh. Strange

Hey Motux, good job playing both sides with your predictions! :lol

I wasn't saying it's going to be some high priced investment thing. I don't buy them for that reason and think it's a bad idea to buy them with that as a goal. Buy what you like. I just happen to like a lot.

But I was making the point that it may not be some huge price hike but outside of a small percentage of sales of it the prices are above retail. And since the GA cap has been brought up multiple times as an example of how it doesn't sell out fast anymore (wrong obviously) or that these type of figures are easily accessible under retail, again 1 out of 30 under retail and 15 out of 30 over 100 dollars more then retail the numbers say that's just not the case.

Look at it this way, if someone took your advice and things do turn out exactly like You think (even though the example you used indicated that's not how it actually went) then they may lose 5-10 dollars. But if it turns out like GA cap really went, and like I've been explaining then chances are they are saved 100 bucks. If you had a 1 in 30 chance to lose 5 bucks or break even and a 29/30 chance to save money (upwards of 100 bucks) which would you take?

I have not been telling anyone to buy a figure or not, but I've been trying to provide all the info so they can make a choice based on the best availble info and what works for them. Not what works for me, or any other specific person. Not what I would do. I just buy them all. But I'm both fortunate and in a minority of people who do that. Most people would not buy them all even if they where billionaire. Just the way I collect.

Most people pick and choose, and part of that process is assessing if a figure will be significantly more expensive down the line or may get discounted. And the numbers say this figure will be more expensive on average, then retail. That's not to say you may not be able to find a deal, or that prices stay the same forever. It's ultimately unknowable. But there's ways to mitigate the risk and passed and current market trends factor into that. Not what one or two figures out of day 100 sales of that figure go for, but what the majority go for...or what the average is.

You don't need to have "insider" info to figure a lot of this out. I said that this version of the SW would be for sale at ssc and that was based on the wording of the ad, the title of the figure and the previous 15 years of hot toys. They had never released a unique movie costume (not a repaint variant like cooper trooper or milk war machine for example) only at a specific show. Of the few figures to never get on sideshow they where all sponsored figures like the choocolate cooper trooper and milk magazine war machine. But those where based on figures that where availble as standard releases. And out of 500ish total figures only 4 or 5 had never been availble mass. You don't need any special info to see where that goes.

I said I don't think it will but that it very well could. Based on past history. Not that it absolutely would, I thought probably a week, but that it was entirely possible and plausible it could sell out and that telling everyone there's no chance it would was wrong

It's funny, for those who said it was "back up to preorder", when I was clicking around to join the waitlist earlier, it briefly said back on preorder and I quickly clicked out a flexpay and everything on her. By the time she was in my cart(maybe less than 2 minutes maybe), she was back on waitlist lol. If anybody sees her on preorder for the next couple of days, it's probably only for a minute or two while they're converting another wait lister. This is crazy.
