I see an asiatic woman... she is not Scarlett...

The problem with TWS Black Widow eyes is the down eyeliner. It is WHITE and make the eye bigger. But I still prefer my TWS black widow, with her hair and suit.

This new head sculpt is great as human likeness, but these lips are like an asiatic doll... (MANGA, ANIME)...

I see Scarlett in this pic. The light is the most important thing... .

Of course lighting and angles are important when capturing the likeness of these figures but this new HS looks much more like Scarlett than any of the past versions.

No. The important thing is to get the likeness right from the get go and not have to fall back on "lighting" because of a average sculpt.

Your pictured figure was popular because it was (for most) the best version of ScarJo HT had done. However it was not without faults, and far from perfect most notably due to the dead eye stare. This has been the same situation for every version of her, where you had to photo in certain light or at a certain angle to get a 'likeness'.


The approach should always be to get the sculpt right and at long last Hot Toys have taken steps to bring us a brand new sculpt with fantastic human likeness of the actress it's based on.

I look at this and see (at long last) Scarlett Johansson.

This head sculpt is a vast improvement to the previous iterations of Black Widow. In my opinion, this is the definitive Widow to have!

I'm guessing my failed order of AoU Black Widow from Sideshow was a blessing in disguise, because I'm so keen to make this my first Black Widow purchase! What a figure!

I'm agree with BEST HEAD SCULPT, but I think it's the good because she has a right eye expression, but sorry... she is not Scarlett. It's a very good asian woman face.

Likeness debate aside, I don't like the new hair style. TWS Black Widow it's more iconic (comic style) FOR ME. It's an opinion...

I think the head sculpt is great. I'm just not sure if I like that hair. When the face sculpt gets too good, the fake hair gets too obvious! Guess there really isn't anything anyone can do about that.

Looks like they filled out her lips a little, and finally gave her eyes something other than the zombie stare. Looks awesome!

I'm one of those people who thinks the Winter Soldier Black Widow headsculpt is close to a dead on Scarlett, but I have to admit this is a nice upgrade, so now I'll be getting it--looks like there will be two Black Widows in the collection for me now.

Hopefully they can give her a modified body too--shorter, bustier and curvier to match Scarlett's measurements--but maybe that's too much to hope for.

Not perfect, but pretty dang good:

Her eyes are a touch bigger, top to bottom. Her nose turns up just a bit more, and her lips are fuller.

But that's a very good likeness.
