Can you say the same for Mandarin in Ironman? He got me excited in teaser clips (same as Phasma clips)
Like I said, he looks cool. But there are waves of 1/6 figures pouring out and I have limited display space. I just need to be more picky about what I buy these days. That means I don't have room for C. Phasma or Mandarin anymore. I'll watch the movie and decide.

I only made what I consider to be one mistake with TFA which is Phasma; Looked amazing from trailers and the way JJ spoke about her she was going to badass. Now I am sure when she gets here she will look great next to Kylo and the Squad Leader (the only other figures I picked up from the film) but I wish I had seen the film BEFORE placing any orders as I wouldn't have ordered Phasma, would have thought more about Kylo and would probably have picked up a regular Stormtrooper (so may have ended up being just a ST).

This contrasts BvS where I waited until I saw the movie, missed it when it was at the cinema (lots of reasons) so was lucky to get the single Batman figure I wanted pre-ordered at a good price.

This I said last year and will probably say again with Episode VIII and onward (likely with certain DC and Marvel films too) is that I hate when all the merchandise is released so far ahead of the movies released (especially if its not going to be available to have in hand until well after the film, possibly not until the home release or later) as you end up ordering things you wouldn't (not that HT or whoever will care about this) or worse miss out on things which sell out before you see the film.

These look great as do the new variant of Stormtrooper but I am unwilling to put my money down now on something without seeing them first as we don't know how much of an impact they will have or how much screen time they will get.

I like the look of this guy. I think it'll look ace next to my Vader and boba fett. I think I might wait it out though for the price to hopefully come down. I'm hoping this will do what most of the force awakens troopers have done. They seem pretty cheap on eBay these days

How cheap? I won't go on eBay just to save $20 and possibly have to deal with a defective figure and a headache to return. I know people will jump thru hoops just to save $1.

Ive seen the force awakens stormtroopers on eBay for around the £160 mark. I know this guy probably won't get to that.
I usually preorder through forbidden planet as I'm a uk collector. They haven't listed this on their site yet so I'm not sure what the price would be. I'm expecting about £200-£220? I dunno haha.
And I've never really had a problem with hot toys through eBay but I know some people have done.

Fully agree. I think this death trooper looks great but I would like to see the film first.
Imagine if the reason they are tall and slim is because they are actually highly trained Gungans!
