I kind of want it, but I've got to draw the line somewhere. I don't even have the room to display what I have now.
Quick, what's the last Star Wars figure to sell out? This figure will likely sell out.

If they just released one trooper they'd probably sell out, but they'll have this guy, the regular death trooper, shore trooper, tank trooper, RO Stormtrooper, RO sandtrooper, and probably some other variant we haven't seen.

The figure looks amazing. I'm just annoyed that they nudged the price up yet again.
There's no actors likeness to pay for, or any die cast material, but the price is $235, and likely $250 after shipping is added. I bet in another nine to twelve months the average price will be $300.

It seems like several of the TFA troopers are actually dropping in price (below original retail) maybe now the hype has died down, so it's possible this guy might do the same. He's the first RO trooper, so it's possible he'll sell out, but HT seems to just straight reissue, or reissue with a slight variation, anyway.

More then a couple years ago, time is just flying. But yeah i remember those days too. Gone now. Gone the way of the premium formats lolMy fear also mate, it's going to get to the stage where many collectors get pushed out in favor of only the rich.
These figures were $100 a couple of years ago, the profit margins must now be massive, without any thought of the collector buying them.

$300 is just too much for a toy. If they ever reach that price on daily basic it will be end for my collecting hobby.
His sniper plate bothers me, is it supposed to be a kick stand or something? It just looks like it would break off if kneeled on. Actually, it would probably just jam the whole thigh armor into his groin.

You and A LOT of others. It's likely to kill the hobby. There are plenty of wealthy collectors, but they are a minority, and thus do not pay the majority of Hot Toys and Sideshows bills.

People are talking like this is a ways in the future - SS has had a $270 fairly basic figure (Luke Snowspeeder) up for PO on their site for six months. My guess is the first $295 basic figure PO will be early next year, and by end of next year even simple stuff like say a HT Lando will be above $265+ and ALL Sideshow figures in the $275-295 range. Everything giving you $5 to $30 in change out of $300.
Last year's SSC PO's like Luke X and TOD Indy were already well on the way to $250 ($240 and $230,) so this year's will firmly transition from $240 range to $270 range. Their jumps have been around $20-30 per year.
Curious to see how close to $250 Dengar is - not a main character, kinda niche interest, but my guess is they go for the jugular anyway.
