So will the Mark 5 have the same head sculpt as the new 4??

I hope not. The new Mk. IV head sculpt is pretty awful in my opinion.

It's not a new headsculpt. I believe it's a previous headsculpt (workshop Tony, I think?) repainted. The figure details describe a "newly painted headsculpt" where normally they would say "newly developed" if it was a new sculpt.

I mean, heck, even in the case of the new 6 where it does say newly developed...it looks just like a repainted Mark 42/43 headsculpt.

I'm super excited for this figure. I'm a returning collector.

I had every single HT Mark Suit from 2009 up until Whiplash Mk.II but sold the vast majority of my collection to fund a business and buy a new car. I ended up keeping a few pieces (not by choice, but due to lack of time to sell them) and they are the Hall of Armor (sealed set of 7) and the Mk.I and VII respectively, oh and the Gunmetal Mark III San Diego Comic Con exclusive from 2009. While I do not want to get caught up in my insane completist old ways with Hot Toys, I decided I would just collect a full set of the first seven original Mark Suits in die-cast to go inside my HOA (which I still have not opened yet. lol)

Having been away from the hobby since Whiplash Mk.II era, I'm very impressed at how much the engineering and quality has improved on Iron Man figures, especially the die-cast series. I lost a lot of pride in my original collection from the pink panties problems, which made it easy to sell them off.

I have found myself preordering the diecast Mk.II, IV, V, and VI. But out of all the figures I'm waiting for, I'm really anticipating this Mark V figure. The proportions look so much better than the original. I had to let go of a lot of pride to sell off my original Mark V, so seeing that I'll get a second opportunity to own another one that is of higher quality, is something I look forward to this year.

I just hope I can contain myself and be true to my self promise of only collecting the first seven die-cast Mark Suits. I don't want to end up with another collection of 100+ Hot Toys figures in my home. lol

I initially thought I was going to only get the original HOA remakes. Now on top of the MK3 I also have MK42, Iron Patriot, War Machine MK1, and Bucky/Cap/Falcon from TWS. Plus all the original 7 that are preordered so far haha. I want to get the War Machine MK2 and MK3 also, 2 is easy to find, 3 is a bit pricey now. Hopefully they do another version for Infinity War.

Quite the expensive rabbit hole to fall in haha.

I'm surprised hot toys hasn't made a stark racing suit Tony to pair up with this figure.
Is this one looking like February or March release?

What do you guys think about the swappable arm? I'm assuming it couldn't be diecast and that would mean the other arm wouldn't have diecast (symmetry).

Usually the diecast figures have bicep diecast pieces.

They won't include it. They teased it with the HB and it was never included. And I feel like I've seen a swap-able arm piece for another IM that never made it either.

HB was just a tease at shows this in the actual order for the figure. It's very much included. I don't care about the arm being DC or not. You can't tell what is DC and what is not on these without touching it.
