MkV in my mind looks like the direct influence on the 43, one of my personal favorites. I also vividly remember hunting the IM2 6" line version as a kid and finding it while on vacation with my family, so it has a nostalgia factor for me.

I was actually going to comment that the 43 and 5 look pretty sweet next to each other. Definately similar industrial design...lots of detail with this figure.

This is one of my favorite Iron Man suits of the moment. I wanted the original several years back, but after getting this, I'm just glad there was another opportunity to own one. I place this one and the diecast Mark VI as two of the top all-time best Hot Toys Iron Man 1/6 figures. Maybe it's just the thrill of having a new figure, but they seem to be getting better and better.

On it's way from BBTS. No turning back now, all in on the diecast 1-7. Now have to decide whether or not to get the gantry or just the 4 by itself.

Man, that looks awesome. I can’t wait to get mine. Fingers crossed for the end of the month.

It's a great figure - even though the Tony Stark head sculpt doesn't really work considering the film's sequences with this suit. I rarely display any of mine with a Tony head, anyway, so that's staying in the box for now.

All the little panels on this armor are really fun to fiddle with, too, if you like that display option. Neat!

Already sold out and secondary market for these are $500 and up....these IM diecasts of late are pure gold

I thought I had it POd on BBTS but I didnt. I got on the waitlist but I doubt thatll turn I guess I missed out(dont want to pay $500+ for it) so I made sure today I POd the MK IV so I wont miss that.

I didn’t. And i joined WL the day after.

Hi guys, i'm new to collecting from hottoys. For those of you who have been buying from sideshow, if you join a waitlist, is there a possibility that you could be the wait list for over a year? or is it normally just a few months?

It can be several months for up to a year. They leave it open if large numbers of payment plans are stilll going or other stocking reasons. So really depends on various factors for them holding back stock.

If you join the waitlist as long as there's a possibility they can still get it for you, you will stay on the waitlist, if they feel they can no longer fill orders they will cancel your waitlist and send you a notification ...

Yeah I was day of or day after and still no conversion

I was on a WL with SS for something (i think it was the BD Mark 7) for almost two and a half years before they canceled it. I knew it was not going to happen a couple months after SS started shipping but i was curious how long they would leave it open. It was a very long time :lol

Just got him out of the box, rad figure with really sharp detailing and paint. No complaints whatsoever about the figure itself so far.

The base does kinda suck, it's a plain black plastic rectangle with a sticker used on top. With other releases they have at least given you the choice of using the sticker. The RDJ sculpt should have been new/improved considering the cost.
