Hot Toys MMS429 - Return of the Jedi Luke Skywalker

I dont know but compare Jedi Luke to recent Hot Toys SW figures (Tarkin, Sith Ani/normal Anakin, Emperor Palpatine...), this figure in my opinion has many issues : scuplt likeness/expression not that good, weird bulky/fat body due to the undersuit, lack of black glove hands (attach the lightup arm is really pain in the ****)

My justification was that this could be the only Jedi Luke we'll get for a while. I'll be happy to swap this for when the eventual Endor Luke comes out but - that figure looks like its got a bit more personality imo.

That’s Luke from Madame Tussauds.

I know people aren’t a fan of the mouth on the figure, but it’s commonly how sculptors see Luke summed up for ROTJ.

All I know is I love my Hot Toys ROTJ Luke. I've had him since July and he's easily my favorite not-Darth Vader star wars figure. He looks great on display and that's what really matters.

Luke looks to have arrived at Ikon Collectables (Australian Hot Toys distributor) today so hopefully some stock will be in stores before Christmas!

But those teeth look goofy as hell.

Umm... not even sure where to start with this one. The Sandstorm look is unexpected and pretty cool, but I'm just not feeling the "windswept" hair. Looks more like it was intentionally styled that way for some reason.

And then there's the Endor version with the gritted teeth expression that doesn't totally work either...

I'm digging all of it except the wind-swept hair from some angles. Like that you get the side-eyed standard sculpt (though close-mouthed as well would have pleased lots of folks, especially Luke as baby girl doll people) and even more options for what to me is their best Luke to date.
