I just started collecting Hot Toys last year and this figure is one of the few I preordered as soon as I could. This would be the first to one to be released so all this talk and videos has got me really excited

Thanks! Yeah, I took my wallet to the limit last year (I acquired about 12 HT figures in 3 months).
This year I already have about 6-7 preorders...

Cudos to the dudes who posted the unboxing video. The only things I understood while watching was “trilogy” and “Anakin” but it was a great unboxing nonetheless! They did a great job of showing all the accessories and attaching them so you have an idea of how they look!
Really a shame that old man Luke didn’t get an articulated robot hand. They did it with Anakin... Luke got a raw deal.

I mean, Tuesday nights (in US) around 10:30pm PST or so is usually when HT releases the HK photos of newly released figures.
Not sure why these guys would have an unboxing video if the figure wasn't ready to ship. So... "released in HK" pictures tonight.

I think one of the guys in the video has the HT VIP membership thing so they always get the figures before the rest of the rest of us.
I imagine whatever they're using will probably be okay. I don't have a figure with much pleather to compare to, but I haven't heard of many issues with recent figures that use it... we will see?

My ANH Vader is doing great. And Finn, a few months newer than ANH Vader, is too. Both figures have been posed a decent amount of times, and the elbows have stayed bent for weeks or months. Whatever type of pleather they're using is holding up for me.
Maybe they're employing more workers or have a bigger factory?

Maybe clearing the factory for all the Infinity War stuff coming down the line? So we don't have to wait until 2020 for those releases, that'd be sweet.

I sure hope this fast release phenomenon rubs off on Wolf Predator 2.0. That's my most anticipated figure this year.

And this is what we're moving forward from....
I know, I know...not even decent lighting can save this figure from it's goopy paint job. For it's time and money though....we did see some folks pull some good customs out of this sculpt and the outfit still holds up pretty well.
It'll be great to have the upgrade though...

It is almost laughable. What a difference 13 years makes.
I remember repainting that SS Anakin sculpt and being somewhat satisfied with it. Didn't it cost like $55. Lol!
