This might give them the opportunity to put the masked sculpt with screaming mouth and gritted teeth. Here is hoping we get new promo images with it.

This whole figure was solicited and sold over the battle damaged seamless body as it appeared at the end of the movie. If they can't get license approval for that, then this figure needs to be scrapped like the What If Ironman and that Flash figure.

Nobody wants to pay $350 after shipping and taxes for a TVA Wolverine.

Exactly, that's a pretty big bait and switch to pre-sell these and then change the solicitation
right before it goes to waitlist.

I don't want him displayed with the jacket... so I will 100% cancel if that's the only display option
and that the body isn't seamless anymore.

It looks like they updated the summary photo. That’s wild if they did decide to do away with the seamless body. I can’t remember another time where they advertised something that big as a selling point and then decide to remove it. I guess they’re covered by “Item shown is a prototype. When shipped, the final production piece may differ in appearance.” This would be a pretty big difference though.

Super odd. I wonder what’s going on with this. I didn’t pre-order and got the regular version but was going back and forth on getting this one too.

I wonder if they’re not confident in being able to produce a seamless upper torso that won’t have issues? Still though that’s a huge change when this was sold on the look without the jacket/upper part of his outfit.

That's what I'm thinking too. I was thinking though that they got the fully seamless torso look with Hellboy.

I didn't order this version either, but its definitely not right for those that did. Also puts the thought in the back of your head of them completely changing the look of what a figure was sold on for future releases.

Wow, that would be an insane change to sneak in. They should have to contact every person with an order and offer free cancellations, otherwise a hefty discount. The jacket was a nearly valueless addition to the package, people were buying that seamless body

Okay hear me out, is there a chance this has to do with how the figure is classified based on tarrifs? I know that whole ordeal about ToyBiz arguing X-Men aren't humans, so they can't be taxed the same way as human toys. And there's some notation based on realism too? Maybe someone with more insight can speak to that. If they change the solicitation for when the figure releases, it might slide under the radar?

I agree this is rather bizarre.

:lol the two ‘styles’ of jacket display is absolutely hilarious now. Zipped ALL the way up or only slightly. Wow! That’s a new low.

I wonder if HT is trying to do the masked but shirtless saving the day version now and figured they could only sell that one if this one didn’t have the seamless body? If so, that’s a new low and I really hope they see some legal push back on the bait and switch. No ‘final product my differ’ language will save them from a change this significant. They’ll need to address the issue publicly, not this quiet change, and offer both refunds and price adjustments to avoid any threat of legal issues.

This is a bizarre situation. But according to comments on a post in the FB Let Your Geek Sideshow group it is only a change in the photos, not the actual figure. But Sideshow’s info can be a load of crap a lot of times as well.

And if that ends up being wrong, that statement could be used against them. Hopefully it’s correct but it seems like a really weird thing to do all of a sudden if there wasn’t more to the story.

Is there a chance that this could be something like the situation with Prime 1’s 1/3 scale Grim Knight statue, where on official solicitations they couldn’t show the dozen or so guns being worn by Grim Knight / Batman on promotional images (primarily due to pesky WB rules at the time), and yet it was being sold and produced with all those guns anyway to get around licensing restrictions etc.

The description still says:
  • Upper body and arms made from silicone material with inner metal skeleton
  • Seamless neck and elbow joints design
Shoulders not mentioned, but the description pasted on page 1 of this thread doesn’t either.
But then why take all the photos down that show the upper body? Something is weird with it.
