Since we're on the topic of proportions once again, I glanced over the updated display pics again and something unpleasant caught my eye that I had forgotten about since this thread first started:

Check out the calves and ankle area.

Isn't it malnutrition? What happens in the abdomen and arround the hip? Slimmer than mine. I will never accept this even free of charge. So poor work, HT :horror:banghead

Omfg you don't like? Don't ____in buy. Just stop the bull ____..it's beyond a joke now. The majority of us go on these boards to Find out useful info and generally enjoy new releases companies like Hot Toys and Sidedhow put out. instead we have to trawall through pages and pages of BS. What a joke

There are extremes on both ends of the spectrum, bro. To distill every disagreement to "don't like don't buy" is as easy as criticizing, but it doesn't make it any better or more worthwhile.

The slim hips are just more pronounced with the counter measure dispensers engaged. The ankles do show up the limitations of the original design that HT employed on V1.

I think everyone would agree that V1 was an engineering marvel, as far as 1/6 figures. To recuperate the costs of such an item HT used it on the MK2 and now on the Mk3 BD, and more than likely will use much of it again on the upcoming IM2 items. It's the exact same figure, re-engineered with different enhancements, so the skinnier look is more of an illusion than anything else. They could have just as well given us the Mk3 suit again with added damage, but instead they chose to incorporate more innovative ideas into this figure. Unfortunately that byproduct means some things aren't as realistic as we might like them to be.

I'm still getting it regardless of it having a differring colour paint, and the deception of failing to inform purchasers, in advance, of the change of prototype head, and for conveniently failing to post photographs of the lower sections of the figure. With Hot Toys it's not what they show you have to look at, but what they don't show too. I would rather they didn't shoot themselves in the foot as often as I do. They're quick to show us a prototype of an unapproved figure and just as slow to inform us of their intentions as to what figure in a line they intend to produce. That is the business model they have used all along. Hopefully the flak they've received, concerning the BD IM, will nudge them to modify that business model.

Calm down wook. They're not new, they're just demonstrated. It's cool to see the spring loaded and wrist locking jazz though. Now what are these "pad prints technique" they've added?

And it look not like Battle Damaged.
