There was already an iconic DX Ledger Joker release. It was the first one.

If they're going to do more why not make them regular MMS figures? I'm sure once this is revealed you could easily take away the PERS and some stupid base and have it be "MMS# TDK Interrogation Joker".

Why? And why remove the PERS? Such an awesome feature that gives more poseability (I don't know how you spell that? ). And so what if there was already an iconic DX Ledger Joker, it can be improved and there is demand for one. Not everyone got their hands on the first one you know.

I think you'd have a problem going back in time and trying to convince collectors of 2008 and 2009 that Bank Robber Joker and DX Joker were "meh".

In 2008 and 2009 they were considered top of the line and "mind blowing". How long before "DX Joker 2.0" is deemed sub par or people complain that they missed out and rally for a DX Joker 3.0?

I think they look ok, but nothing mind-blowing. And that's the reason why Hot Toys keep re-issuing popular figures as improved 2.0's, because they have improved themselves as well. Why be against improved figures? Only because you bought the old ones? I wouldn't get pissed off if Hot Toys decided to re-release all the figures I have as 2.0's. When I buy a figure I'm completely aware that it can be improved upon til the point where they are identical to what they are trying to resemble. I welcome improvement in all the things I buy, cellphones, TV's, computers etc.

I'm just saying it would look more tasteful if they just made a regular old interrogation Joker.

Depends on what the interrogation Joker comes with and if it really is only an interrogation joker version.

There's really not much separating the line other than the "DX" prefix, the price and some eyes.

Exactly. Yet you talk about "Joker taking up 3 slots in the DX line". The DX figures have nothing to do with each other, they aren't a "line" with "slots".

Idk I like what comes with DX figures. Yea they're higher priced usually and some don't come with a nice dio like Jack Sparrow, Bruce Lee or Luke Skywalker but I still like them. I like the bigger stands, the packaging with added prop/item, and especially the PERS. one of my favorite features that wi never get old for me

Biggest news: the first repeat DX! I don't like that. Now DX's may be reissued too. Is nothing safe.

If so, it would have to be a second head. The PERS wouldn't be functional with the laughing expression. His eyes were closed, or squinted to the point that it wouldn't make a difference.

1. Not everyone is fond of PERS. In fact, I'd say a majority of collectors dislike it.

2. Never said I was against "upgrades". I'm for upgrades when they make sense. We've never seen an "interrogation version" of the Joker. This is the first time we get the bare hands and the specific look. Before it was either make your own or kitbash it. I'm not against this.

3. At it's conception I always thought the "DX" title was like, a Deluxe figure. The end all, be all of what Hot Toys could achieve for iconic characters as well as updates of older figures that haven't aged well (like Robocop and Kyle Reese or BD T-800).

When you start having Batman after Batman and Joker after Joker in a specific category line, to me, it just looks distasteful and gimmicky. Then again, that's what the "DX" line is basically, a gimmick.

If they're going to continue with 2.0s, 3.0s and the like then maybe they should just scrap the Deluxe sub-line and make them all under the same type.

It was always stated as a line for "Iconic Characters." And so far I cant disagree with any of their choices for the line. All Iconic to me.

True, but I could have sworn they said that each DX release would be revisiting a previous MMS release to improve upon it and deliver an "ultimate" version. This DX 2.0 (DX11?) just undermines that, as does the DX10. The DX10 is the only DX announcement so far that I have been disappointed by, though.

Yes, a second head was my thought. Serious sculpt (why?) and a laughing sculpt.

Christ, tried to find the original posting of the teaser but gave up. Unbelievable amount of pages based on it.

Anyway are people assuming that HT are releasing a table/chair set with it or isn't it possible they're just using Batman79's set for the purposes of the photo?

They did say that. It was early on when the Cop/Honor Guard Joker teaser was floating around when the "DX" sub line first debuted.

This was when we were wondering how the PERS worked or what the light up base would look like.

That's what I'm hoping. Finally make an awesome neutral/serious sculpt and laughing sculpt and close the door on Ledger Joker. Do a sculpt on par with the Sparrow or T1.
