If by some chance this is under $300 I'll definitely try and pick one up. I don't own any HT Jokers and I've always regretted having to pass up on the original DX Joker.

Anyway are people assuming that HT are releasing a table/chair set with it or isn't it possible they're just using Batman79's set for the purposes of the photo?

This suggested inquiry will no doubt create 50 more pages of bloated discussion. :panic::panic::panic:

GREAT JOB A-DEV! :yess:

What line? What are you seeing?

I see iconic characters getting a DX treatment. Numbers (DX01, DX02 etc), quantity (5 jokers e.g) is irrelevant as long as they all are iconic.

MMS line, DX line.

I'm iconic but wouldn't it be annoying if they kept making DiFabio figures in a "Deluxe" line? If you're going to make so many DiFabio figures then why not just throw them in the regular MMS line. DX was alright but when you start making "DX 2.0s!" it just looks obnoxious and gimmicky.

Why keep making DX upgrades? Because of googly eyes? Foam? Magnet boxes? Just seems silly. Make it for the MMS line and it's gold. Some regular figures are better than DX anyway.

The chair at least is definitely NOT Batman79's version (yeah, I already spotted an inaccuracy :nana::panic: )

Therefore I'm assuming the entire thing is HT's own version.

You don't consider DX a line? Like how MMS is a line.

Sure, as in Hot Toys want to have their figures organized with numbers with a cool product name like Masterpiece, yes. But what does the quantity of Terminator themed figures have to do with the quantity of Superman themed figures? Absolutely nothing besides people having a personal opinion that Hot Toys should make more figures from other movies because "there are too many" figures from a specific movie or movies with the same theme (like the different versions of Batman movies).

I know he might be laughing, but ...

True, but I could have sworn they said that each DX release would be revisiting a previous MMS release to improve upon it and deliver an "ultimate" version. This DX 2.0 (DX11?) just undermines that, as does the DX10. The DX10 is the only DX announcement so far that I have been disappointed by, though.

Appears it's being trickled out but not this version. Saying that, there's no such thing as Ultimate. It's in the eye of the beholder and everyone has an opinion. More so than others.

Heh. Thats a good one as well. Wasn't that long ago they were saying if it's below $200, they'll pick up a second. Next year they'll be saying if it's below $400, they'll be picking up seconds. ;)

Though if the finance system goes tits up before then. What good will it be.

I think HT are in a catch 22 with this Joker because the DX01 was to be the "final Joker". They even said that the DX01 was to be their last Ledger release. But some time between 2009 and now they have really gotten a leap better in terms of realistic paint and sculpt. Not only that but they have gotten loads bettet with the PERS. So I see this release as their way of besting themselves for the last time...again. :lol

Ok, I see now. Yeah, I've never understood the whining of too many of whatever figures, either. Too many Iron Man and Batman. Who gives a ____! I don't own one Iron Man figure and don't plan to ever own one either but I don't give a ____ if they made one Iron Man a month for an entire year. Hell, they could even do Holiday Iron Man. New Years Iron Man, Christmas Iron Man, Fourth of July Iron Man. I would not care.

They made the colouring in versions. Comes in airfix grey.

Ehm, Nicholson Joker and Ledger Joker are from two different movies. They shouldn't be considered as the same Joker. Again, improvement is welcomed, if they can release an Indiana Jones DX 2.0 figure in the future I'll take it. Won't complain that they've already made one and it will look bad because there are now 2 Indiana Jones DX figure out of the around 15 DX figures.. as if all of those figures had anything to do with each other because of a product name and a model number to keep it organized (or at least try to :lol).

Don't like it, don't buy it. I love the PERS feature.

Don't like it, don't buy it.

:goodpost: :exactly:So simple, yet so profound. Although I think for some collectors, it's annoying to think you own the "best" version of the figure, see it sell out, see it's aftermarket value skyrocket on ebay (whether or not they ever plan to sell it) and then find out in a few months or a few years that a "better" version is coming out.

They may want the new figure, but they are reluctant to sell what they already have before seeing the final product. They have to weigh this against the fact that the longer they wait to sell what they've got, the more publicized the new figure will become and the lower the resale value of the old version. On top of this, even the standard retail price of a newer figure is likely to be more than the retail price that the old figure originally went for. There are so many variables to consider...I can see how it can cause lots of apprehension.

My momma always said that if I don't like something I should complain to all my heart's content. Preferably spamming it on a message board or facebook wall . . .

PERS is alright, I kinda like it on my Keaton Batman but, eh, ____ IT. Crappy seam lines, hollow heads, more cause to worry for quality control problems. I know I'm not in the minority here. PERS is a gimmick, that's all it is.

I love the spin some people put on things. Just so they can try to make others look bad. Or above others. Which all stems from this instant and throw away society. Reminds me of those tv adverts, are you ashamed of your phone? this is no different.
